Guest Posted March 22, 2007 Posted March 22, 2007 Do you think people who have passive/agressive disorders are more prone to cheat? I'm not saying ALL people with PA can cheat, I'm just meaning, do you think it can make them more prone too? Or what about any kind of mental type disorder. Do you think those that have a certain kind of disorder might be more prone to cheat? I understand cheating is a choice, wheather someone has some kind of mental disorder or not, and of course, it should not be used as an excuse as their reason for cheating, but just wondering if others are more prone to cheat?
JackJack Posted March 22, 2007 Posted March 22, 2007 I don't know if people with disorders such as that are more prone or not. I do know of people though, who have a disorder and do like to use that as an excuse to justify their actions though.
LucreziaBorgia Posted March 22, 2007 Posted March 22, 2007 Borderline Personality Disorder and Narcissistic Personality Disorder are two that come to mind.
a4a Posted March 22, 2007 Posted March 22, 2007 It would make sense that they probably are more prone to do so. Since that may be a way of being passive aggressive. That whole PA thing is so damn complicated.
Trialbyfire Posted March 22, 2007 Posted March 22, 2007 Each cheater has a different reason why they cheat. Mental disorders, personal needs not met or commitment issues, who knows all of them. The two consistencies I've noticed while being on LS are: - there's a lot of lying; - unthinking or selfish actions.
PandorasBox Posted March 22, 2007 Posted March 22, 2007 Borderline Personality Disorder and Narcissistic Personality Disorder are two that come to mind. I agree. I know of two people who have BPD and are serial cheaters. I'm not saying that everyone who has BPD cheats, but I do know some with that particular disorder who have.
