Not_That_Innocent Posted March 22, 2007 Posted March 22, 2007 Anyone else watching the case on court tv of the woman accused of shooting her husband and chopping him up in pieces? Do you think she did it? The testimony of her ex-lover didn't make her look too good.
Woggle Posted March 22, 2007 Posted March 22, 2007 She did it but watch her become the next feminist hero. The majority of women want her to get off no matter what her guilt is.
whichwayisup Posted March 22, 2007 Posted March 22, 2007 Please don't speak for all women Woggle. I don't know the situation, but if she did it, she should go to jail. Killing her husband and chopping him up is NOT something ANYONE male or female is going to support. Feminist or not.
JackJack Posted March 22, 2007 Posted March 22, 2007 I missed that one. What was it he had done to trigger her to do this? Abuse her? Cheat? What?
Topper Posted March 22, 2007 Posted March 22, 2007 Could someone please do a readers digest condenced version of this case?
JackJack Posted March 22, 2007 Posted March 22, 2007 DOH! Well it was posted in infidelity, so guess that might be part of it?
Topper Posted March 22, 2007 Posted March 22, 2007 I did a search and here is what i found out. She was having a 3 year long affair with a Dr that she was working with at a clinic in NJ She does seem to be a very popular woman and well liked both socially and in her profession. Co workers friends and family posted her 3/4 of a million Dollar bond. She has made some claims of abuse against her now dead husband. But these claims come very close to the time her husband disappeared. She also claims she and Hubby had a big fight he packed his bags and left. This right after closing on a $500.000 home. There seems to be a lot of evidents on computers such. There were searches on her home computer. Searches on how to commit murder , Date rape drugs and gun laws. She also bought a gun about a month before The Crime. Also there were many love e mails to the Dr and related emails. So far it seems we have only heard the prosecution side. The Defence will follow. From what I have read things are not looking bright for Melanie.
Ruby Tuesday Posted March 22, 2007 Posted March 22, 2007 Yikes! Is this the same case on CNN where the WW put her BH in suitcases? All my bags are packed I’m ready to go I’m standing here outside your door I hate to wake you up to say goodbye Cause I’m leaving on a jet plane... Don’t know when I’ll be back again Oh babe, I hate to go
Topper Posted March 22, 2007 Posted March 22, 2007 Yes 3 suit cases. I wonder if she had good taste and it was all matching luggage she dumped into the chesapeake Bay? She Kind of looks like the Martha Stewart type. I'm sure did did this tastefully. She didn't learn much from the NJ mafia They always used cement to weigh the body down before dumping it at sea.
Ruby Tuesday Posted March 22, 2007 Posted March 22, 2007 Anything less than designer bags would be scandalous. lolz.
Author Not_That_Innocent Posted March 23, 2007 Author Posted March 23, 2007 Things are not looking good for Melanie today. There was a recorded phone call of her talking to a friend about having bought a .38. Also, one of her girlfriends testified about how she went to Melanies house sometime after the murder and she saw black trash bags and smelled bleach as though she was trying to clean up something. One of the court TV commentators seems to think that testimony is damaging because jurors love to hear specifically about sights and smells. Although, another commentator seemed to think the girlfriend's testimony was somewhat coached and that she embellished a bit. It's such a good case, I hate it when I have to leave for work. I should record it!
prettyprincess Posted March 24, 2007 Posted March 24, 2007 She did it but watch her become the next feminist hero. The majority of women want her to get off no matter what her guilt is. I have to agree that a lot of women get off with lesser charges than if a man did it IF THAT IS WHAT YOU ARE THINKING, but I don't agree with anyone wanting her to actually get away with it - how sick would that be? I think the worst crime of this nature has been the Chicago rehabber several years back who cheated on his wife. The mistress eventually got tired of playing second fiddle and threatened to tell his wife. What did he do? Killed her. Didn't end there either. He actually used a blow torch to separate the skin from the bones. I guess pretty much melting the flesh from her body. The whole thing was completely gruesome in an effort to cover his tracks..
