alphamale Posted March 20, 2007 Posted March 20, 2007 OK I just wanted to throw this out- Today's my 42nd B-Day and yesterday I received a b-day card from a very cute ex co worker. I haven't seen her in probably 8 months since I left that job. We weren't really friends at work but more aquaintances. She used to come over to my cube a chat every once in a while. In the 4 yrs we worked together I went to her cube to chat maybe twice. We got together once in a group setting after work to go out for drinks. She was with her BF and I was stag. She got divorced maybe 2 yrs ago. Anyways, we've sent a couple emails back and forth since I left but just saying hi or catching up. I was very surprised by the card she sent, it was unexpected. So I sent her an email today saying the same thing. She wrote back saying we should "all" get together sometime (implying a group setting). I sent her back an email just now saying I'd love to get together but she'll have to ditch her BF (ha ha). What do think is going on in her pretty head?
Storyrider Posted March 20, 2007 Posted March 20, 2007 Happy birthday old man. You have three years on me. Maybe she was just networking for business purposes. Can't burn those bridges.
Art_Critic Posted March 20, 2007 Posted March 20, 2007 Damn are you old... Happy B-day Alpha She was keeping the link alive.. maybe it isn't going so well with the BF and she was checking temps.. or was networking.. How she responds to the comment about ditching her BF in the email might bring some light.. Even though you were joking.. you also weren't and she will know that.. Get together with her and everybody else.. you will get a read on her..
Yamaha Posted March 20, 2007 Posted March 20, 2007 Alpha is smitten!!!!! You want more from her and are very flattered that she contacted you. Your question is, "what are you going to do about this situation"??
polywog Posted March 20, 2007 Posted March 20, 2007 Happy Birthday, Alpha! I think it sounds promising. The girl, that is. Do you have any idea whether she is still with the bf? When you start to date and/or bang her will you promise to keep us updated blow by blow, so to speak? :bunny:
luvtoto Posted March 20, 2007 Posted March 20, 2007 Happy Birthday, Alpha. Things are lookin' up for both of us, aren't they? Brilliant approach with her, BTW. She could just laugh it off...or better yet, she could take you up on the idea. Either way, you'll have your answer without putting your neck out too far.
quankanne Posted March 20, 2007 Posted March 20, 2007 happy birthday, Alpha ... hard to tell about your ex-coworker: she might genuinely be interested, or you might be the handsome, attentive friend/colleague in her life that she wants to keep in touch with because you make her feel good when she's around/talking with you.
TYASAFAHICSI Posted March 20, 2007 Posted March 20, 2007 Bang her, just don't ask her to be exclusive!
Author alphamale Posted March 20, 2007 Author Posted March 20, 2007 Maybe she was just networking for business purposes. Can't burn those bridges. I doubt it...she mentioned a few times she needed new friends and new people to hang out with (after she got divorced 2 yrs ago) She was keeping the link alive.. maybe it isn't going so well with the BF and she was checking temps.. she mentioned once a year ago (before i left) that her and BF were on the rocks and they prob wouldn't last long... You want to bang her , don't you ? yes, she's pretty....long curly dark hair and body to kill for. she's smart too and has no kids I know of. Probably around 38 or so. I think it sounds promising. The girl, that is. Do you have any idea whether she is still with the bf? our last email exchange (3 months ago) it soounded like they were still hanging out together... Either way, you'll have your answer without putting your neck out too far. Yea thats what I figured. I never date co-workers anymore so thats why I never asked her out. But now that i'm gone she is fair game she might genuinely be interested, or you might be the handsome, attentive friend/colleague in her life that she wants to keep in touch with because you make her feel good when she's around/talking with you. if its the latter QUANK then i'm not interested. I don't do the friends thing with women. BTW thanx everyone for b-day wishes.
Author alphamale Posted March 20, 2007 Author Posted March 20, 2007 Is her BF a big guy?? not any bigger than me....it would be a good fight. I met him once, he was the typical blonde doofus with little upstairs and only average looking. He could never keep a girl like her long-term.
Author alphamale Posted March 20, 2007 Author Posted March 20, 2007 Happy Birthday. By the time I'm 42 your be 67. thats comforting to know IPANCA
climbergirl Posted March 20, 2007 Posted March 20, 2007 Very clear...she wants a piece of you, alpha. Happy Birthday!
IpAncA Posted March 20, 2007 Posted March 20, 2007 thats comforting to know IPANCA Yeah but look on the brighter side, you'll be able to get those great senior discounts. So if you go to the movies you don't have to pay 8.00. You can pay 5 something.
Sand&Water Posted March 20, 2007 Posted March 20, 2007 RE: What do think is going on in her pretty head? She took a leap. A small one, really. She's into you- emails/cards don't write themselves. Make her work hard for it -fetch the bone. Let her brutally come to you. Haha. Usually the nectar tastes better that way. Oh, and Happy Birthday to you! Sand&Water
TYASAFAHICSI Posted March 20, 2007 Posted March 20, 2007 Very clear...she wants a piece of you, alpha. Happy Birthday! You mean she wants the Hot Alpha Beef Injection?
Author alphamale Posted March 20, 2007 Author Posted March 20, 2007 You mean she wants the Hot Alpha Beef Injection? maybe... either way it don't matter to me....I've been dating this nice chick for the last 6 wks and I've got some other chicks I can call when I feel like it. I'm a big believer in the "don't put all your semen into one vagina" philosopy
climbergirl Posted March 20, 2007 Posted March 20, 2007 You mean she wants the Hot Alpha Beef Injection? YOU stole that from Breakfast Club!!
Pyro Posted March 20, 2007 Posted March 20, 2007 Sounds like something that the swedish chef can make.
climbergirl Posted March 20, 2007 Posted March 20, 2007 Sounds like something that the swedish chef can make. Not make but take, gonz.
dropdeadlegs Posted March 20, 2007 Posted March 20, 2007 Happy Birthday. By the time I'm 42 your be 67. IpAncA, you're 17? I thought you graduated from college and are married? Anyway, Happy Birthday, Alpha. I've got almost 5 months on you and I can say that 42 is a good year for me so far. I can't complain. As for the ex coworker, I know I wouldn't send a B-day card unless I was interested in you. Emails, yeah, but nothing that personal to a single man I was not interested in. Now leave her alone, she sounds like a nice girl!
luvtoto Posted March 20, 2007 Posted March 20, 2007 IpAncA, you're 17? Wow. I thought you [ipAncA] were married, too! As for the ex coworker, I know I wouldn't send a B-day card unless I was interested in you. I agree. Now leave her alone, she sounds like a nice girl! I was thinking that earlier!
IpAncA Posted March 20, 2007 Posted March 20, 2007 I'm not 17. Do the math. 67-42=25. Where did you get 17 at?
