This girl was with me in college ( im 26 , she is 27) . its been 5 years since we passed out and moved on with our lives. we would meet up like once in a year at reunions etc ( didnt meet her for past 2 years ) and just casually chat and relive old times. we were quite close in college .. studying , travelling to/from college , hanging out etc. i had a girlfriend at that time so it was just friendship from my side and she never made any moves on me (she never told me if she had any thing for me but i suspected she did).

fast forward , 5 years on ... im not dating and i ran into her. we chatted over coffee for around 3 hours and basically it was like college times , she is just like she was then and we had a blast ... i then asked her if she wants to hang out sometime. she agreed and we have decided to meet up this weekend since we are both busy with work during the week.

my trouble is i know this girl in and out and she knows me well. we both know that we are single. now that we will be meeting this weekend , i am not sure to take it as a casual meetup or a date. meeting new people is exciting and getting to know them is good and fun... but in my case , i already know her so well that i really dont know how i should be approaching this.

i so want to date her and make her mine :) should i come out at the end of date and simply tell her what i am looking for and see whats her on mind or should i be taking it slowly ...

what all should i keep in mind considering my situation and not go into friends again meeting up thing and show that i am looking for more than that.

 I think you just just go out on the date casually. See how things progress thru out the night. But, if you feel this stongly when you are out with her you should tell her. I think it sounds great and you should just go for it. Have fun!!

But, keep in mind once you make the move it is very hard to go back. I was friends-best friends with a guy for 6 years thru out the 6 years we both dated other people. But, we would go to the movies, had mutual friends so he would pick me up to go out, we did everything together even broke in to a country club to go swimming.... But then I took him to my sister's wedding reception, at his request we should be together-"we were perfect together" WOW what a change he was posessive, dominate, and just not the same guy, that I was friens with. Well since it has been 4 years and I have never spoken to him since..Sad because he was a great friend, but no possible way we could go back.

However in my heart I am glad I know, better to know than to think about it. I say go for it and you have other friends....I hope it is a perfect night!!!;)

DO NOT tell her your intentions. Take things slowly and casually, but flirt with her so that she gets the idea you're romantically interested. If she feels the same way, she'll take the bait and you'll know! :)

Agree with Star...spelling out what you want? Way to kill the romance!

Make your move subtle but assertive, and show her your intensions. You'll know right away if she's feeling the same.
