Guest Posted March 10, 2007 Posted March 10, 2007 Here goes nothing. So i met this guy online I think it's common enough these days. Anyways, I went on a date with him the day before Valentines cuz he had to work V-Day......he drove down to see me(he lives about 4-5 hours away). He bought me roses and a bear which I thought was really sweet, and we went for supper and out for drinks and played games. You know a normal date. Anyways, all i could do was smile which i am thinkin is a good sign. That night though his uncle asked offered to take us to Buckcherry and we both agreed. Well a week and some later he came down for this concert, we went and had a blast and he was renting a hotel and yadayadayada. The next night I was babysitting overnight and invited to come hang out with me so he didn't have to drive back cuz the roads were horrible and he came over and yadayadayada. ANywho, anytime i talk to this guy, i get superflies...which in My termonolgy means SUper crazy butterflies. He is a crude oil trucker, he owns his own company(which is good). Some of My family thinks I should be with him for the money(even though nobody met him yet) while some other ones are criticizing how I met him and if it's safe or not. I don't know what to think, but I do know he is Extremely sweet to me........and he said his mom thinks i am cute which to me is different! I have never done a long distance thing before so what/how/ is it done? Lol I ama clueless when it comes to all this stuff.........should I trust this boy or should i be super cautious or.....I don't know!!
catrocks Posted March 10, 2007 Posted March 10, 2007 Awwww he sounds great I wouldn't worry about what other people say, if you and he know it's right then it's noone else's business. Long distance secret - COMMUNICATION. If you don't see each other for a while make sure that you communicate with each other every day, whether it's by phone, email, skype (also good for distance:D), just to say hi and stay a part of each other's daily life. Also, you need to trust each other very much, that way if he goes out to a bar with some friends you're not at home all night freaking out that he's going to do something. It's just like any other relationship except you appreciate it so much more when you see each other, and the time spent apart can be hell. But it sounds like you guys are great for each other so I'm sure you won't have any problems
Sweetie2007 Posted March 10, 2007 Posted March 10, 2007 I agree with Catrocks, COMMUNICATION AND TRUST! lol. That's what keeps it all alive...and cherish the time you get together. The goodbyes are hard, but I think you get used to that a little more over time (although I haven't yet). LDR can be amazing, and horrible, all at the same time, just hold tight! He sounds nice, and if you feel like you can trust him, then tell him how you feel, see how he feels about LDR, and let fate take it's course... good luck!
