sweetgirl1976 Posted March 9, 2007 Posted March 9, 2007 I am new to this site and had a question maybe somebody can help me with. I went to my local Sheriff's Station to inquire about their ride along program. When I asked him about the program, he said they do let people ride with them. While talking with him he was basically starring a hole through my eyes and had a goofy grin the whole time. Now this is the part that makes me think that he was flirting, he said once my background check came back clear he would love for me to ride with him. I said that would be just fine, thanked him and started to walk away, he took ahold of my arm and pulled me back towards him and continued to ask me questions. After the convosation was over, he walked me to my car, and opened the door for me. He said that he just wanted to make sure I got to my car alright. My car was no more than 25 feet away. Am I crazy or was he flirting with me? Thanks for the help.

Trialbyfire Posted March 11, 2007 Posted March 11, 2007 Yes, there's no doubt he was hitting on you but I wouldn't take it seriously. Cops are reknowned for being the biggest flirts around. A friend of mine used to be married to one and he would flirt with me outrageously although I never reciprocated. The friend and I lost touch over the years. Last I heard, they had split because he couldn't keep it zipped. If you're interested, I would do a little personal research on the guy to ensure that he's not married or otherwise quasi-committed.
