Icantletgo Posted March 7, 2007 Posted March 7, 2007 I just realized something. I caught my 1st ex cheating cause I went through his voicemails and I found messages from a girl who left messages like "i love you baby" etc. I let him go after that. My current ex. I found out he was cheating cause I went through his phone records and found out he had been talking and texting this one girl NONSTOP during the time he and I were trying to "work things out". Needless to say after painful months of not being able to let him go..he is out of my life. My thought is this: if it weren't for technology, internet, cellphones....i woudln't have caught them..and they would never have confessed! How about ya'll?
Smurfingawaymyday Posted March 7, 2007 Posted March 7, 2007 Oooh how true. And good for you for letting him go! I found out my ex had been dating someone because of an MSN conversation he had left open on his computer. He was sleeping in his bed and asked me to print out directions for a trip we were going to be taking later that day. As soon as he realized what I was going to see he screamed for me to stop but by then it was too late. I wasn't even snooping because I really thought he was the one who was crazy about me, more so than I about him. What a shock!
CharlieMurphy Posted March 7, 2007 Posted March 7, 2007 On one hand, technology really can help out in finding if someone is cheating. That's the good part. The bad part is I'll start to forget about her and then I'll come across her myspace page or something like that, and I'll start looking at it. Then I'll see her pictures and remember all the times we had together. I'll then in turn start to feel terrible again. I don't want to do it, but sometimes curiosity gets the best of me. Or other times I'll be online, and she'll try to contact me through IM. Sometimes all this technology seems so great, but it's really bad when it comes to break ups.
Art_Critic Posted March 7, 2007 Posted March 7, 2007 maybe without technology he might never had cheated ?? There would have been no cell phones to get those text messages or cheating calls.. No blackberry's to schedule the nooner at the motel.. No internet to meet on an online dating forum.. no myspace pages... etc etc etc... Technology is no longer new... computers have now been in the retail market for over 20 years .. it is all part of life nowadays
alexa137 Posted March 7, 2007 Posted March 7, 2007 how did u do the phone records?? i could when were on the same plan and i got the bill and paid it--but now my kinda ex has changed phones and carriers and i tried online but messed up when the co sent his password to his phone!!! and thats the main reason he is leaving me
Davis Posted March 7, 2007 Posted March 7, 2007 Hey Icantletgo. Thank God for technology!! Maybe it makes cheating more convenient or easier for the cheater, but it gives us a chance to find out what the hell is going on when in past we probably would not have found out for months and months if at all. I caught my ex because she had given me her passwords to her email and myspace a long time ago. Apparently she was not only a liar and a cheater, but she was also so dumb she forgot that I had the passwords! That saved me months of game playing on her part, agony and heartache. I walked out before she even knew that I knew she was cheating!
Mythical Posted March 7, 2007 Posted March 7, 2007 Geese this is so scary because it's pretty much how everyone finds out someone's cheating! I hate cellphones!!!!
