stockmos Posted March 5, 2007 Posted March 5, 2007 Wondered how people effectively move out when ending a relationship. There are two obvious methods: 1. Announce the relationship is over and you are moving out. Advantage is that this feels like the morally sound, considerate and adult method and one can be there to communicate with the ex-partner. Disadvantages are several, including is that it leaves one open to having to live under the same roof subsequently, even for a short period. That also then includes the problem of having to fend off attempted reconciliation or having to deal with fury from the person. 2. Move out swiftly and then contact to say what you have done and it is over. Advantage is that you make a quick elastoplast type exit. Disadvantage is that it feels morally very unfair and unreasonable on the partner - no-one would want that done to themselves.
