Rewind Posted March 4, 2007 Posted March 4, 2007 I went on a blind date last night..and well..let's say alcohol works wonders to making things bareable. The conversation was good but I don't have any intention of getting together again. So the entire night all he did was leer at me. When we weren't speaking he would just stare at me, my face, his eyes constantly going up and down my body..then as soon as I would turn his way he would turn his head quickly. Anyone else find this really wierd lol. I mean if you're not talking to someone you look around or watever you don't stand there staring at someone. Now he did this the entire night..I could feel his eyes on me from the corner of my eye and I was about to say what are u looking at.
monkey00 Posted March 4, 2007 Posted March 4, 2007 it doesnt matter if its weird, what matters is if you're into him
Author Rewind Posted March 4, 2007 Author Posted March 4, 2007 I put in my post I'm not interested..besides the fact that any woman having a guy stare at her for 3 hrs would be turned off..
sb129 Posted March 4, 2007 Posted March 4, 2007 He thought you were hot. Maybe he had had his drink spiked?
Tormented Posted March 4, 2007 Posted March 4, 2007 So the entire night all he did was leer at me./QUOTE] Yep, I've had those kind of dates...where they sit and stare at you, not saying much, making for a VERY awkward and uncomfortable night. You almost feel as though you're being "eye raped." Yuck! But equally as rude is the date who's eyes constantly skim the room and doesn't miss one female in it. A female walks by, his eyes follow. It's straight-out rude and a HUGE turn-off. You best believe that when a date acts like this, he gets NO second date. When they call, I don't answer. Just *poof*...I'm outta there! I'm not sure which is worse. The "eye oogler" or the "horn dog" that can't keep his eyes off other women. Dating is the pitts sometimes. ~T~

But I sorta figured I had to make the best of it since when I met him I wasn't physically attracted to him so I knew there would be no second date. When we wouldn't be speaking I would look around or look at my drink something normal..he on the other hand would not lock his gaze from me. And as I would be looking around I would feel his eyes staring at my face or looking at me up and down and it was kinda creepy. He just wouldn't look away..
Art_Critic Posted March 4, 2007 Posted March 4, 2007 Maybe what you felt was him being uncomfortable being on a date with someone that didn't want to be with him. You said from the moment you met him in person that you weren't attracted to him.. I think he sensed that and he felt uncomfortable being around you. Body Language speaks volumes... Why did you spend the whole evening with him instead of just an hour to see if you had anything in common ?

What was I gonna do start walking around and talking to other guys? Well him looking at me up and down every 2 seconds is a weird way to show that's uncomfortable lol.
nicki Posted March 5, 2007 Posted March 5, 2007 Yeah, I've gone out on dates like that. It's okay if you catch them looking at you a FEW times, but constantly for hours? That's plain lewd, rude and weird. My tactic with a guy like that is too look wherever he is staring (like my chest) and say "Oh, did I spill something?" If he doesn't get the hint to cut it out, then the next time he does it I give him a dirty look/scowl, as well as making my body language very cold and closed off. Now, a guy in love who stares all the time is sexy...if I feel the same way. Not a first date, though, that's creepy.
