Im in college right now, a sophomore. I have a big problem meeting girls because I cant talk to them. The biggest problem I have is just starting a conversation. I never know what to say when I first meet a girl. I go to a school thats big on frat parties, and I have the same problem when I go there. Theres lots of girls, but I have no idea how to start a conversation with any of them. Is there any advice someone can give me? Maybe a couple phrases that would help me just get a conversation started? Thanks

So what's your major? Are you in a sorority? How do you like this college so far? Did you see that new movie (insert movie here)? What's your favorite song/movie/band/thing to do/food to eat/place to hang out? Are there any good places to hang out around here?

In class I found that alot of guys always started a conversation with checking their pockets, but not really checking, for a pen and then asking me to borrow one, and then they'd ask me about the class and after my initial response they'd come with a follow up, like something about homework or about a test or up coming test.

You can even try sports, I've had plenty of conversations that continued all semester with sports.
