DyingHeart Posted March 2, 2007 Posted March 2, 2007 It's been a little over 3 months since that dreadful breakup, and I am happy to say, that I feel great. After finding out that my ex cheated on me during our relationship, it put things in a new perspective for me, and I am loving this new feeling I can relate to what Rocket Man had stated in other threads. He said that he misses the person he thought she was. That sounds about right with me, but my ex isn't that perfect person, which makes it so much easier to move on. I do miss him on occasion, I miss the companionship and the times we shared together, but alas, it is over, and there's a whole new world for me to explore. I no longer cry over him, and he is not really in my thoughts all that much. I do know that I will always love him on some level, but it's nothing that will hinder me in living I do have to keep in contact with him because of prior obligations that had happened before the break up. BUT, it doesn't bother me in the least. I can look him in the eye and not feel a thing. So yippee to my new found singledom! We both made mistakes, and now I know what not to do in my next relationship, and I hope he does too. I wish him the best and hope he never hurts anyone else. So overall, I've been doing extremely well for having come out of a 7 year relationship and only being apart for 3 months. I am so proud of myself! Hehe, I had to share, because I am so happy with how things are going Thanks to all who have given me advice on my situation, and I hope now to give advice to others who are going through some bad times. I very much share your feelings of joy and happiness and embracing my newfound singledom! In fact, looking forward to it. I feel a bit like a child in a sweetshops again - so many exciting opportunities just waiting out there. And feeling like I feel now, would never have thought I'd feel this way 3 months ago. Just goes to show hey? Keep going
