Cosmetic height increase in other countries

Has anyone here had this done or know someone personally who had it done? In the United States, it's reported that cosmetic height increase through limb lengthening is not to be done and limb lengthening for medical conditions like dwarfism and uneven limbs are practiced. There's Fitbone technology that is said to be the safest and least painful procedure but I think it's a lot more expensive.
