Icantletgo Posted March 1, 2007 Posted March 1, 2007 Breakups suck cause you always tend to think of the good and not the bad. Am I right? This ends up killing you inside!!! painful!
Dubb Posted March 1, 2007 Posted March 1, 2007 Just write the bad down and refer to it=P It gets better.. NC helps the most!
NorCalDave Posted March 1, 2007 Posted March 1, 2007 Yes, this is the trap our mind plays on us. For some reason we only remember all the lovey-dovey moments. But there were probably just as many bad moments we are choosing to ignore. I'd be interested to see why our brain does this. It must be because we all have a "romantic" part of us that really wants everything to be happily ever after. It's like, this hopefulness we have engrained that only remembers the good stuff. It really does suck. What I did was write down all the bad stuff, all the reasons why she isn't right for me, and I read it everyday, and it helps me cope. It does help a little. Try it!
Trialbyfire Posted March 1, 2007 Posted March 1, 2007 Yup, as soon as the warm and fuzzies start coming around, I think of the nasties. Within a few minutes all the irreplaceable memories have been replaced and I'm fine again.
