It is not that I don't love her just that I need the excitement that comes with a new woman. I do not want to get divorced but can not help myself around other women. What should I do?

You should suggest an 'open marriage' to her so she can have the excitement of sleeping with new guys!

If that's not acceptable to either you or her, you should get a divorce.

Divorce her. It seems you were not ready to settle down and be a committed husband to your wife. I really hope you don't have children, because if you do, your situation is going to be even more painful than it already is now.

She deserves to be married to a man who won't sleep with other women. Part of what one gives up when married is having sex with other people.

Yo Guesty....got a newsflash for ya...if you want to be with other women, then you don't love your wife.

But SC, you know he will say he loves his wife because it's "just" sex and it means nothing. He may love her on some level, but he doesn't respect her or care that his choices will hurt her and ruin their marraige...

As long as your OK with her doing whatever with other men then you = then stay together = be happy with everyone your with = except your wife... Don't worry though, she'll feel the same way too. After a while you'll end up in divorce anyway... it's inevitable. Have fun!

Does your wife love you SC ?.. She cheated on you right ? then if you go by your own advice your wife doesn't love you... Correct ?

^And your point, AC, exemplifies a point I made elsewhere: Fidelity is tough to do partly because desire is more immediate than love.

The latter is a state of being displayed by actions, a desire to make a relationship work and a sense of companionship beyond all other relationships (including those with best friends). But it isn't immediate; it takes time to develop it and it takes patience and work to keep it.

Desire, on the other hand, is instantaneous. The glance of a gorgeous woman in tight jeans and a sweater; the hunger for food; a craving for apple pie a la mode. When you get horny, you get it; when you get hungry, it can be overcoming; and when you crave food or an item of clothing, it can become an obsession. All of this can make you want the immediate, even at the expense of the long-lasting.

This is definitely true when it comes to sex. Dance with a woman you desire at a club and you will want every inch of her body and taste all of her. And if she's new to the touch and the taste, it's even more immediately satisfying.

Love, on the other hand, can help you achieve happiness, but it's not the only factor in that. Your wife can't make you the better person you want to be and your husband can't help you shed those ten pounds. And some days, it isn't always satisfying because of a fight with one's significant other.

Guest, if he's truly serious and not a troll, can easily love his wife and still want some strange tail. That desire never goes away and if anything, gets tougher to fight over time, especially if the communication part of the relationship is in the toilet. That's also the reason why you got to be on guard against your own desires; the gal in accounting will always make an offer that's tough to refuse.

Cannot help yourself, or will not help yourself. Really, grow up man and make a decision.

I'm sure you want to have your cake and eat it too but that's not how it usually works.

I agree.

Stop this and get into counseling with your W. You want excitement, try and get that with your W, not OW. Cheating isn't the way to go.

quite possible...the question is..does she STILL want to be with other guys because she can't handle being with the same person for too long?
