jdhas Posted February 27, 2007 Posted February 27, 2007 What does it mean when a woman you have been seeing fairly steadily for more than a month says to you, after spending many nights together, "I'm not ready to have you spend the night tomorrow"??? Any thoughts would be MOST welcome! Thanks! -C
Star Gazer Posted February 27, 2007 Posted February 27, 2007 It means - quite simply - that she's not ready to have you spend the night with her.
Mythical Posted February 27, 2007 Posted February 27, 2007 It means - quite simply - that she's not ready to have you spend the night with her. Im confused...but they already spent nights togther?
laRubiaBonita Posted February 27, 2007 Posted February 27, 2007 Im confused...but they already spent nights togther? maybe they spend the night at His place...... so jdhas, have you ever spent the night at her place?
Author jdhas Posted February 27, 2007 Author Posted February 27, 2007 Thanks for the replies, sorry for the confusion. Yes, we have 'slept' together (both in the sense of sleeping in the same bed, and being naked in the same bed, if you understand my meaning) a number of times already, both at her place and at mine. On the weekends and during the week. That's why this seems so...abrupt....
laRubiaBonita Posted February 27, 2007 Posted February 27, 2007 maybe she is on her period.... it is a bit more polite to just say no.
Author jdhas Posted February 27, 2007 Author Posted February 27, 2007 That would certainly make some sense, considering that we have been intimate for the past three weekends. Is that a reasonable assumption to make from this comment (this is what she said to me)?: "I would love to see you tomorrow night and hope you'll come over but I need to ask that we each sleep in our own beds. I'm not ready to have you spend the night tomorrow; I hope you can understand and won't hold it against me. If you don't want to make the trek in for just a few hours of eating and curling up on the couch, I'll understand." Again, we have each slept in each other's bed a number of times now, so I am struggling for a reason. Plus, if she is on her period, why wouldn't she want me to be sleeping in her bed with her? I understand not having sex, but not wanting me around to hold while sleeping seems a bit odd....
