beangirl46 Posted February 25, 2007 Posted February 25, 2007 I had a business meeting with a guy mentor that quickly turned into a date. 5 hours or so after I returned home, I emailed him with: "I had a good time meeting you today. You're cute, smart, and charming and I'd love to hang out again =)" And then invited him out dancing with me on Saturday. I'm slowly beginning to realize that I was way too forward, way too fast. On the other hand, maybe I wasn't. I based my decision to email him in this forward manner on 3 things: 1) He seemed confused/uncomfortable at the beginning and end, unsure if my intentions were business or romantic. I wanted to clear up that confusion, and send him a clear signal he could get romantic with me. 2) He intimated that he's getting older now and should probably settle down... I took from this that in a way, he's ready to move fast, past games. 3) I always end up getting forward and aggressive eventually. If he can't handle it now, it's possible he might never be able to. Anyone have any thoughts? Waiting for the reply is torturous.
Rewind Posted February 25, 2007 Posted February 25, 2007 yes..u should have waited till he contacted you. If a guy is interested he will.
Author beangirl46 Posted February 25, 2007 Author Posted February 25, 2007 he just replied. he wants me to call/text him.
oppath Posted February 25, 2007 Posted February 25, 2007 It depends on context. If he thought things were a date and he was interested, he won't have a problem with it. I love it when women email me within hours, or the morning after, of a first date and thank me for a good time. What's the worst that could happen? He's not interested? Well, then you've lost nothing. If he is interested? You weren't too forward. You told him you had a good time. You were casual. If you wrote "wow, that was the best date I've ever had and I've already told my friends about it", that is too forward. Just chill.
Rewind Posted February 25, 2007 Posted February 25, 2007 he just replied. he wants me to call/text him. thats good then..I dont see why he can't call u since ure the one that reached out to him but hey lol.
Zankon Posted February 26, 2007 Posted February 26, 2007 Beangirl: I love girls like you... straight to the point no games no gimmicks. If he's man enough to handle your straightforwardness, then good if not you lost nothing.
