Okay.... I've been here before, and some of you may know my story.... for those of you who don't.... girl, internet, I love her, she doesn't know, things are going pretty good, I'm waiting patiently to see how things develop.... perhaps a little too patiently. Ah well.

So we live in 2 different countries. There's a concert on in her country in February, one of my favourite bands, one of her favourite bands. She probably doesn't even know it's on.... I'm kinda looking for advice as to what I should do here, I would absolutely LOVE to go with her.... I know I'm probably just teasing myself by dreaming up this thing, but it sounds so perfect. Even if I did somehow manage to suggest it and she agreed, her parents probably wouldn't let her.... but I'll get to that when I have to. What should I do with regards to letting her know about this?! Without the obvious thing like "Hey, there's a concert on in February in your country, I'm going, do ya wanna go?!" Coz I'm sooooooooo not gonna do that! Really, little help, I'm sooooo excited by the prospect of this, I'd love any advice!!

YES but nooooooooo I don't do stuff like that! Don't wanna freak her out, see. Just wanna slip it in casually, ya know, see if she's interested? But I don't know how. God I'm so crap at stuff.... this is too feckin' coincidental, that I happened to randomlay find out that they were coming to her country, I've never even looked at concert listings before.... somehow I really think we are going to be going but I have no idea how or why and AAAAAHHHH!

Sorry I'm very hyper right now, had a good night, I played a song I wrote for a bunch of people and apparently it's brilliant! My life is finally starting to take shape! :D

Bollocks.... apparently they're coming here too, so now I've got no reason to be going to her country to see them.... unless of course I just pretend I didn't know?!

Yeah, I think I'll do that!!

Don't make a big deal out of it - Just say to her, I would like take you to the concert, I'm willing to come to where you are. Don't worry I'll be staying in a hotel and please, if you feel uncomfortable at all, just tell me, it's okay. Just was thinking it would be really fun to see a band we both love and it's a good way of us meeting.

Well, my German friend and I talk about meeting up, but it never hinges on some concert. It hinges on our friendship. Try that angle and see how it fits. I mean, don't you want to know if she is into seeing...you? Come on.

I know that would be the normal way of doing things.... but I can't possibly be that forward, I couldn't do anything that would risk scaring her off. So I dunno, it's gonna have to be a passing comment of some sort.... how to do it right.... **** I really wish I hadn't seen that thing about them playing in my country, it's kinda ruined it for me....still though, I'm gonna try for this I think.... I'll have to mention it soon, because it's not that far away time-wise. Dammit I really only have one chance at mentioning it properly, coz if she just brushes past it I'll feel like a plank. Gotta do it right.

You appear to have projected way too much onto this relationship, which is a big problem with Internet romances. If you can't evaluate this with simple questions directed at her to feel out her interest, well, I don't know what to tell you.

Woohoo! Temporary goodness! I kinda discreetly slipped it in, she seems really enthusiastic about it! I don't know if anything will come of it, but for now hooray!

Actually.... I do know what will come of it. I've known since I first saw the concert listings. But I don't know why or how I know.

Out of all the information you've given, I only wanted to know about the above.. lol. Secondly, long distance relationships don't last for long periods of time.

Meh.... there's no standard you can set for this sort of thing. So a lot of LDRs don't work out.... that's not going to stop this one from being one of many exceptions.
