LurkerXX Posted September 13, 2011 Posted September 13, 2011 Well men, had you ever had women approach you and ask you out? What did/didn't you like about it. Did you ever consider them as relationship material?
somedude81 Posted September 13, 2011 Posted September 13, 2011 I've been approached by two women in my life. I ended up having a two week long "relationship" with one of them, she dumped me. When I got to know the other one, I realized that she was not relationship material for various reasons. I definitely liked the attention, but I get uncomfortable if a woman comes on too strong. It's also not a good idea to tell somebody all your issues in your first conversation with them, which is what the second woman did.
camper15935 Posted September 13, 2011 Posted September 13, 2011 I have a few times. I kind of like it except if im total not interested i feel bad for them esp if it looks like there way into you and im not. That sucks. thumbs up for ladys with confidence.
laotzu Posted September 13, 2011 Posted September 13, 2011 I actually got engaged to a woman who approached me.
Sanman Posted September 13, 2011 Posted September 13, 2011 My current gf was the first to approach me and let herself be known, but I did the asking out. No complaints so far.
Feelin Frisky Posted September 13, 2011 Posted September 13, 2011 I've been semi stalked and had women do bumbling things like make believe they were on the pay phone outside the men's room to get to "bump" into me but I only remember being asked out directly once by someone cold calling on me. I went, it was nice, I wasn't that into her and it platzed.
Nexus One Posted September 13, 2011 Posted September 13, 2011 Yes I've had this happen and often girls/women did it at the most impossible moments. Either there was very little time to say or do anything or they did it in inopportune/inappropriate moments/settings. My advice to you would be, get your timing and location right. Approach when he has the time to talk to you and isn't in a hurry. Preferably do it when you two are alone. Also don't push him into a corner and demand a decision or answer immediately.
thehead Posted September 13, 2011 Posted September 13, 2011 I have been approached by women with varying degrees of aggressiveness. When I played college sports, a few were fan/groupie types and approached me off the field; a few were in a nightclub setting; and two were in shopping malls. One became a girlfriend and her approaching me never worked against her. I don't find aggressiveness a turn-off anyway.
