Janey01 Posted July 5, 2011 Posted July 5, 2011 Hello all, I am new to this and would really appreciate some advice or opinions:). My ex and I broke up a month ago after 10 years together. I was the one who initiated the break up. Half of me is glad I did (because I felt he was more interested in planning his new future and not fully including me…read below) but I mainly did it because I wanted him to take us seriously and properly discuss our relationship. Instead he just packs his stuff and walks out and I haven’t heard from him since. He is not great at computers...emails etc and for the past few years I have been trying to get him sponsorship in the states (we are both English). I did everything, send out job applications, email potential employers, design his work portfolio. He is a tradesman and when things didn’t look good regarding the sponsorship, I helped him promote and market his new business. Thankfully (I guess for him), he got offered sponsorship two months ago and will probably go abroad in September. Since accepting the offer, he has been quite distant in the relationship. He doesn’t want to go out anywhere with me, spends more time with his friends etc etc. However, he has been very affectionate, hugs, kisses etc throughout the whole process. Part of me feels just let him go but the other part of me feels soooo used. How can you be with someone for so long and then bang, no contact:mad:. I don’t want to lower myself by contacting him but still. Thanks in advance

When I broke it off I explained how I was feeling and that we should discuss things. That was in the morning. After work, I came home and found out he has moved out...ouch He did texted saying sorry and I replied some stupid message about leaving the keys in the mailbox. Since then I have heard nothing.
