We have been NC since.. I've reached a stage where I have sort of accepted he's not gonna come back, he hurt me a lot but deep down I secretly wish he would come back. Anyway, last night he sent me a youtube link to this song. Saying nothing else. Can anyone tell me what it means??? I feel sick and I dont know if the song means that the last time we were together was our last chance, or if he is asking for one last chance. (we have had an on/off relationship) Or maybe he just sent me the link because he likes the song. but weird considering we havent spoken in over a month! What do you guys think? Didnt you see him on FB with another girl? OK, this is a good sign that he has posted this link, but you cannot bite. Does he expect you to decipher his hidden messages? NO. He needs to prove to you over and over again that he wants you and if he gets you back he wont break up with you for a 4th/5th time????? NOooooooooooo, dont bite girl. I mean I'm friggen jealous, i WISH my ex would send me this link, but I wouldnt respond, just as you shouldnt. Just keep going the way you're going girl, like we said earlier, he needs to move mountains for you...This might be one step towards that mountain, it may not, only time will tell. Till then ,keep your head up high and trust that if its meant to be, it will be. True love will find its way back to each other. But this time, you dont need to force it, let it come to you. Mwah x

I think I'll leave it a few days and see if he contact me again. Trust me, as nice as it may be that he sent the song... it has just f***ed with my head. As much as I wanted him to contact me, this isn't what I expected and I am left so confused now!!! So I don't think you would want to be in my position!!

He's strung me along for so many months and I chased after him so much. I want him to come chasing after me now!! (if that is what he wants) Although I do know him, and I know he finds it hard opening up and talking about his feelings. Aaah! I don't know what to do! where is Gator when I need him?!

You could try and take the "I missed the message" line to try and make him spell it out. Send him a quick email back, something innocuous like, "oh hi, I love that song too! thanks for the link. How have you been?". That way, you're showing that you're open to contact, but you don't look like you've been reading too much between the lines. If he flakes out in his reply, or doesn't reply, you also haven't lost face.

But to be honest, this past week I've been feeling so angry towards him I'm not really ready to pretend to be friendly and ask 'how have you been?' and start a conversation as if nothing has happened. I am still so hurt...

You know, I've been dealing with my ex a bit recently and everyone advises being so light and friendly, when I still want to rip his head off!! Maybe that in itself is your gut telling you that he could hurt you again and it's maybe not worth going there... As far as his message goes, I know that when I've reached out to an ex, and they don't reply, I go a bit crazy three or four days later and really start wondering why they haven't replied. If you're not sure what to do, why don't you take a bit more time?

If he really is serious about wanting you back he will ask why you didn't reply etc and tell you what he wants. Wait for that. So I asked him and he said that he didnt know, that theres no particular reason why he sent it, that he just felt like sending it. And then he asks me how I am... I am fuming! I can't respond, so he basically sent this to mess with my head?!? What an a**hole!!! What do u guys think?? Do u think he just did it to mess with my head? should i have a go at him or just ignore him, or should i say well it looked like you were trying to tell me something...

Once he does I'm gonna walk away from the conversation.. So basically the song didn't mean anything he just wanted to mess with my head, or do you think deep down he does want another chance but is too scared to ask?

Only reply if he admits he ****ed up and wants another chance (and thats only if you actually want to be back with him). Anything else is just him trying to relief his guilt for dumping you, toying with your feelings or boosting his ego from getting a response from you.

Yes I do think that song was a crumb especially since he didn't make the reason clear why he was sending it. It could be any of those reasons, bottom line is hes hurt you with what he has done so back to NC.

You probably will never find out why he did it, but ultimately the reason doesn't matter. The only thing that matters is how it made you feel and it was a ****ty thing of him to do. You just need to tell yourself you deserve someone who treats you right. If he messages you again remember how you felt now, use it to help you stay strong and remember to take care of yourself yeah? No one has the right to treat you like that.

Its bad enough that he broke my heart 3 times (yep he broke up with me 3 times and stupidly I took him back each time)... but then he has to send me a song which basically asks for another chance but then say it doesnt mean anything! I wish he wouldn't get away with this! Its not fair!!
