First date on Valentines day or is V day more for established couples?

I have two questions for the board.

1.) Is it weird to ask a woman out on a first date on Valentines day? I have a feeling that V day was always more about established couples...am I wrong?

2.) What if you have known the woman on a strictly friendly level but sensed genuine interest from her lately? So it's not like this person is by any means a stranger.

Go for it!

There is nothing wrong with asking her on a date even if the first date is V-day... just be aware that the restaurants are going to be stupidly crowded and every venue you might venture to will have mushy-gushy couples holding hands and making you both want to be

You might could try an evening at your place and make her dinner? You mentioned she already knows you. Not sure if ya'll know each other well enough for taking her home...

So no, Valentine's Day is a fine day to have a first date... and if it works out to a nice long :love:ing relationship then you will always :) and remember that Valentine's

Day was the first day ya'll went out.

I had to add the smileys :o

Yeah I am not sure about taking her to my place...I was thinking about a classy resturant. You know a real fancy classy date. We have known eachother for seven months but haven't made anything romantic for several reasons. With those reasons gone, there's no need to hold back... unless I'm grossly misreading her.

Personally, I think all people, in or out of relationships, should boycott Valentine's day. But if she seems like she'd enjoy a nice evening out and you are free that night, why not?

Its just another day.
