I see that your heart has been smashed to pieces. I see that your hands are filled with glue trying to fix it. You’re wet and you are shivering. I noticed you stranded here on the beach, you crashed your boat. You still aren’t very aware of what has happened to you. It’s ok! We have all been there and some still are.

I want you to meet some people. Follow me to the big campfire right over there where you hear other people talking and laughing. Man, they are amazing. They are called the Love Shack community. Let’s sit around the fire with them and introduce yourself. You need to dry up first and get some food in your stomach. We will listen to your story when you are ready. See all those unknown faces? You will get to know them, you already do in a way, they share the same story and emotions that you are going through right now. Isn’t that great that there are people that know how you feel and have the knowledge to change everything around?

There are a lot of elderly around here. Listen to them carefully, they know what they are talking about. The guy next to his motor cycle is called Caliguy. A respected member around here. Same goes for the well-build USMCHokie and Mr GrayClouds. You will get to know them in time when you stick around. That girl with the large back-pack on her shoulder is a regular around here. She comes and goes because she’s just enjoying the group and likes to be around here.

Oh, do you see that guy on the right? That one with the big smile? Pay close attention to him, because you will have that smile too when you are ready. Now take a look at that ship next to him. Doesn’t it look fancy? We build it all together for him, but he actually did the most part of it. Tomorrow he is going to set sail for the first time after a long period of hurt and recovery. He is a better man now and his self-worth and love has increased significantly. He’s ready, just like you will be!

You know, we have all been stranded here. We all crashed our boat at the beach where I met you. We are your family, your support group. We are going to help you to get your smile back, give you a new boat so you can set sail and meet the horizon and new adventures. We will make sure that your boat is going to be stronger and that you will have more experience sailing.

So even though we can’t prevent you from stranding again, you will know within your heart, with everything that has happened in the past, you are going to be more capable of taming the ocean.

Good luck, we are there for you.

Hehe. While I am not "elderly" I am just past my 30s so I guess that makes me a statesman. :)

All people need to read are the two threads in my signature. That's always a great place to start.

Nice post.

I have weanies.....

Well, if the cap fits, wear it....!

Blow on that fire, we have weanies to roast!

Am I the girl with the backpack?

Seriously, I thought you were referring to me, because I go everywhere with mine!

You don't want to know what's in it... suffice to say it's a 'Tardis' backpack, with overtures of Mary Poppins' carpet bag..... But it's all good stuff.....!

Actually, yes, TaraMaiden. You are the girl with the backpack. The backpack was a reference to your knowledge of life; a free spirit roaming “the world” gathering experience and life lessons. You learn, you grow, you act upon what you have learned. You are evolving yourself and educate other people. You know what life is about. You seem to know the answers.

You always seem to amaze me whenever I see a post of you here on LS. In this regard you are an example to me. I hope I will have the same knowledge and ultimate state of being later in life. It will take a lot of work, but I will get there.

Well, I feel like I am sticking a whole chicken up your butt, so I will just stop right here. I am being sincere though.

I know that! I was referring to the character in the show 'Monkey'! (I was hoping you'd have seen it, though. I'm very pleased you have. I love it to peeeices!)

Don’t worry, Gray, I am out of chickens. I gave Tara my last one.

You are right though about my past relationship. I lived the life of a demented KFC employee shoving up those chickens up her ass all the freaking time. I guess that’s why she chickened out on me…

But hey; life is an interesting journey

Gracious, Thierro..... I don't know what to say....

To use your allegory, I just crawled up onto a beach one day, and went from there.

I decided long ago that if (as I had fervently hoped and desired) Life brought me nothing to give me happiness, I was going to create my own. It's just a nicer thing to share it out, rather than covet it and keep it all to yourself, because curiously, the more you give out, the more you find you still have in your lap.

Over time, I have discovered two fundamental Truths:

There is no better place than 'here', there is no better time than 'now.'

And -

If you cannot find happiness, serenity and contentment where you are, right now, then where else exactly, do you expect to find it?

I can find nothing I have come across so far, that has invalidated their wisdom, and so I just try to live by them.

Simplify.

It lightens the load, and is less troubling. :o

Actually, I haven't...though I remember being fascinated by a programme called 2The Water Margin"..... I'm going to see if I can find this anywhere, though....

"Tazza"....? I love it.....! What a great name.... !

Well, I feel like I am sticking a whole chicken up your butt, so I will just stop right here. I am being sincere though.

I am humbled, truly, by your generous words, and it's no false modesty to say I really don't feel I deserve them...

I just love campfires on a beach, though....

...dont worry about Graycloud's over there in the water , likely he's had one to many try to talk to the dolphin and helping it find that one special porpoise in life. That guy never gives it a rest, does he? :o

You must!

I recall The Water Margin, vaguely. It's available on amazon. Bit pricey, though! (Although you do seem to get an impressive 26 disks with it..) Oh look! Those who bought it also bought Monkey!
