lovebound Posted February 24, 2010 Posted February 24, 2010 Ive been dating this guy for a while, about 5 months, we get along great, been thru tough times together, i think we have a great connection, and one day last week while we were talking, a friend of his asked about me when he saw us talking, my guy responded "she is my friend, yes, she is my sweatheart". in others opinion, especially guys out there, does calling me his sweatheart means he is starting to like me for more than dating right now, more than a friend, and wants more? i dont want to jump to conclusions, though, i do feel for him strongly.i dont want to ask him, cause everything is going good and dont want to scare him off. what are your thoughts?
Alexz Posted February 24, 2010 Posted February 24, 2010 I'm not completely familiar with what 'sweetheart' means for most men, but if that were coming from me, this person would be very close to me and in a very committed. I dunno what exactly the context was, but it sounds like he means he's real close to you. I dunno. Thought?
carhill Posted February 24, 2010 Posted February 24, 2010 What's your status? Intimate (sexually)? Exclusive? Is this the guy you were thinking about doing the 'unavailable' thing with last year?
make me believe Posted February 24, 2010 Posted February 24, 2010 After five months of dating you should be able to ask him something like that without scaring him off. I'm confused because you say you've been "dating" for five months but yet you're unsure about whether he likes you as more than a friend or not. It's time to figure out what he wants so that you aren't wasting your time on him. And I mean by ASKING him, not analyzing random things that he says to his friends.
