turnstone Posted November 11, 2009 Posted November 11, 2009 So now I have an STD. Marvellous. I aim to use it to claim more in my settlement, so that's nice. But otherwise, how best to tell the OW? In a letter from my lawyer?
Spark1111 Posted November 11, 2009 Posted November 11, 2009 I personally would call her and tell her she needs to be tested immediately for STDs. Then follow up with a letter from your lawyer today if he or she can do it.
Author turnstone Posted November 11, 2009 Author Posted November 11, 2009 "Her"? "Her"? There's at least five that I know of, and I wouldn't be surprised if there's more. Oh the joys of infidelity, it just keeps giving, doesn't it?
JumpinJimmy Posted November 11, 2009 Posted November 11, 2009 TS, do you care to share which "present" you received?
Author turnstone Posted November 11, 2009 Author Posted November 11, 2009 That question is incredibly sleezy, but you know what? That makes it so fitting. Gonorrhea. All I need now is a syringe of mercury.
JumpinJimmy Posted November 11, 2009 Posted November 11, 2009 Even though I am often amused by the slow motion car wrecks on LS, I didn't feel sleazy asking it. I mean were talking about an STD here, and I am curious as to what the prevelant ones are.
You'reasian Posted November 11, 2009 Posted November 11, 2009 That's terrible. I'm sorry to hear this. You said it was from the other woman - cheating doesn't produce much good, I guess. What are your symptoms?
2sure Posted November 11, 2009 Posted November 11, 2009 Ahhh...when my STD was confirmed, I sent out a group email to all of my H's "contacts". I wasnt porky about it & did tell them if they required more details that I would respond. Also, since it was a GROUP email they could all see just how many people this info went out to.

I won't be as reasonable as you and they won't be privy to any other information. I wonder what the equivalent of going postal through email is I wonder? Never mind me, I'm just going slightly crazy here. Even though I am often amused by the slow motion car wrecks on LS, I didn't feel sleazy asking it. I mean were talking about an STD here, and I am curious as to what the prevelant ones are. Yeah right. Google is right http://google.com here. Seriously, I have no issue with telling anyone, but own it when you ask something that could be taken as distasteful.

JumpinJimmy Posted November 11, 2009 Posted November 11, 2009 I own everything that I say. If your going to broadcast to the world that you have an STD, you might as well say what kind. You were begging the question.
You'reasian Posted November 11, 2009 Posted November 11, 2009 I have no symptoms. I'm assuming you took the GNA test. Explain that to our viewers for their edification... The good news is that it is a bacterial infection, treatable with anti-biotics.
Author turnstone Posted November 11, 2009 Author Posted November 11, 2009 I own everything that I say. If your going to broadcast to the world that you have an STD, you might as well say what kind. You were begging the question. If that's what you think, then say so, no need to hide it behind 'I wondered what was prevalent nowadays', I've already said I have no issue with saying what it is. You'reasian - I'm fully aware of the treatment, thanks. As for explaining the test - how about a 'please'?
JumpinJimmy Posted November 11, 2009 Posted November 11, 2009 Go ahead and take your anger out on the posters, I won't cry. No hiding here, I asked the question...forward, straight, and to the point. You asked why, I told you...forward, straight, and to the point. If you don't want to believe my reason, then don't....that is your cross to bear, I could care less.
Author turnstone Posted November 11, 2009 Author Posted November 11, 2009 I really don't need your permission. But thanks anyway.
You'reasian Posted November 11, 2009 Posted November 11, 2009 You'reasian - I'm fully aware of the treatment, thanks. As for explaining the test - how about a 'please'? Communication on the net is cut and dry, hard to interpret - there are no rude vibes going your direction. My apologies if it seems that way. What kind of antibiotic are you receiving?
2sure Posted November 11, 2009 Posted November 11, 2009 Turnstone...dont let anyone bully you into revealing OR even discussing anything about yourself that you have no need to share. You arent having sex with any of them. They have zero need to know the specifics of your medical history. WTF
Author turnstone Posted November 11, 2009 Author Posted November 11, 2009 Oh and nice edit. - jumping whatever your name is. 2sure - thanks. I guess I'm a little too used to be treated less than human.

You're volunteering your medical information and potential for legal action against the OW. How long have you had sexual contact with OW?
Author turnstone Posted November 11, 2009 Author Posted November 11, 2009 Oh my word....... I'm not even sure where to start with this one.
Lizzie60 Posted November 11, 2009 Posted November 11, 2009 "Her"? "Her"? There's at least five that I know of, and I wouldn't be surprised if there's more. Oh the joys of infidelity, it just keeps giving, doesn't it? Huh? I don't get it.. you knew about the infidelities and you still slept with him...
Author turnstone Posted November 11, 2009 Author Posted November 11, 2009 Who says I slept with him after discovering the whoring around he did?
Author turnstone Posted November 11, 2009 Author Posted November 11, 2009 Oh and jumping blah, you really shouldn't base your research on just one person's experiences. I'd pass on the OW details, they're more likely to have far more experience in STDs than me, but I wouldn't want you to catch anything.
You'reasian Posted November 11, 2009 Posted November 11, 2009 Who says I slept with him after discovering the whoring around he did? What's your gender?
JumpinJimmy Posted November 11, 2009 Posted November 11, 2009 TS, I just read all the threads, and I just realized that you were a woman. Based on your first post, for some reason, I thought you were male. My apologies, I wouldn't have asked my original question if I had known. I also wouldn't have bantered with you as well..again my apologies.
