So I had my date this afternoon.

He called me saying he'd be on his way to meet me. This was about an hour too early. But whatever, I get my but going, get all pretty. I wore these cute black shoes, some nice jeans, and a dressy top. I felt good about how I looked. I meet him, and we go get something to eat. He wants to have hamburgers. We went dutch for this. Which is fine. Then I look down... he's wearing those huge snow boots, like "I'm going out to shovel". Clothes aren't everything, but snow boots? Grant it, we got a few inches of snow this morning, but it was all cleared up by now. Oh well..

We talk a bit, nothing extremely interesting, but better then Mr. No Personality. Then he tells me he has three tattoos. So I asked of what... one of them is a cartoon, Kim Impossible, on his ankle. Interesting.

Then we go see a movie. The movie was actually funny. He tells me he is going to hit the bathroom. He gets up, takes his jacket off, and what do I see.. a Batman belt. I'm talking the full fledge emblem batman as the buckle. Thank God it was dark. Thank God he put his jacket back on before the lights came on.

Now, when we exchanged myspace pages, I saw this belt, however, I thought it was a joke picture. Nope, he really really likes batman.

I actually stopped at the gas station to see if hot guy was working and was going to ask him out. But he wasn't, or wasn't up at the cashier.

Youre funny... Aside from his style did you like hanging out with him lol

He paid for my movie. But yeah, um cartoons.... Maybe I should go back to dating men in their 30s.

Did I forget to mention...

He was talking about this story about a statue that's haunted. He goes..

"I want to go see it, Batman will show it what's up if anything happens".

Posted

well at least it wasn't anime... although maybe this isn't any better...

Bad dates suck....

Posted

makes you wonder what his house is like.... maybe it's the Batcave....

Does he wear his underwear over his pants.....?

(How does Batman pee.....? )

So, does that mean I shouldn't wear my Looney Tunes socks on a date? Even if they are very comfy and have Tweety on them?

I am sorry for your misfortune. But I have to thank you for those two threads of yours. I was a little sad today and having a good laugh helps.

I'm glad I can provide cheap entertainment :) Now who can I find to go have a drink with, that makes conversation, doesn't do the cartoon thing, and doesn't beg me to come into the car.

Yes, maybe but not necessarily. Just take into account where you meet these men. That says a lot for what type of man you will be out with.

Like for example if I find out a guy in his late 30s has a very active profile on Myspace I skip right over him NO WAY I will go out with him. He is more than likely stuck in lala land trying to recapture his youth trying to be MR rock star at 40, no time for losers like that!

The younger guys on there are not much better really but at least they can get away with it since they are young. Myspace dudes aren't really looking for love they are looking for hook-ups which I am not sure why if they are so special and super rock stars they are not meeting chicks left and right at their gigs etc. But that's another story...

You are in your mid 20's right? Try a site that is less "skanky" and where the men are more "complete" yet cool, not some artsy drifter trying to figure out who he is and what he wants out of life through some very lame art. Batman buckle cracked me right up!!:laugh:

Are you into more arty guys? I can suggest a few other better places if you like...

I didn't find him on myspace, just exchanged pages to see more pictures. But yes, the site might be the reason. However, there are some prospects that seem better.

I'm 27. What site would you suggest?

I will never watch a batman movie again, and feel good about it.

My girlfriends like Nerve, and one of them met her current man there a year ago, he is a journalist and she is an architect and they're going strong. I don't do internet dating anymore I hate it, but I did meet my ex believe it or not on The Onion Personals like 3.5 yrs ago. I like the type of guys that were on that site more intellectual and artisitc guys with real jobs and realistic passions in life, not some starving musician trying to collect pornstars and kudos for his piss-azz band, like you see on MySpace.:laugh:

As I said I haven't been on either now and I am sure it varies from region to region so who knows if they are any good for your area, but maybe have a look?

I love belt buckles.... I don't have a super hero one- but I have a Hoff Buckle and a 90210 Buckle (original cast of course).:p

I wonder if he was wearing batman underoos underneath his outfit.

im not ashamed to say that I wear Ugg boots, and Im a guy. However I would NEVER wear them on a date to impress a hottie like dreamergrl.

Dude sounds like one of those nerdy gamer types.

These were not Ugg boots. They were full fledge for shoveling or working in the snow boots. Not like decent black boots that you could make work with an outfit.
