Sheekie Posted April 1, 2008 Posted April 1, 2008 My boyfriend and I used to live 90 minutes apart and we would always email each other. In the emails, he would always say that he loved me. Now we are not long distance anymore and it seems like he rarely tells me that he loves me. I brought this to his attention recently. I asked why he doesn't it say it much and he replied that he'll say it when he feels like it. I figured I could interpret that in two ways: Good: He doesn't want to overuse the word, which I understand. Bad: He doesn't love me anymore. Someone suggested to me that maybe he doesn't say it as often as he used to because he doesn't miss me anymore since we're not in a LDR. Someone also said that maybe it's easier to say it in email compared to actually saying it. Either way, I started thinking too much about it and I eventually broke down crying in my boyfriend's arms. He asked me what was wrong and I told him that I just needed some love. He then asked me if I thought that he didn't love me and I said no. I don't know what to make of the situation. I don't want to be making a big deal out of nothing but at the same time, if there's a huge sign that there's a problem, I don't want to miss it. Advice? Thanks.
Legend Posted April 1, 2008 Posted April 1, 2008 That should make it more valuable for when he does say it....
dreamergrl Posted April 1, 2008 Posted April 1, 2008 Writing "I love you" is sooo much easier then saying it. What does his actions say?
NuTuDating Posted April 1, 2008 Posted April 1, 2008 Writing "I love you" is sooo much easier then saying it. What does his actions say? I agree. Words don't really mean all that much if the actions don't follow. If he loves, you, but doesn't say it verbally, you should still be able to tell by how he treats you.
HeavenScent Posted April 1, 2008 Posted April 1, 2008 Action speaks louder than words, ya know. I'd always watch out for what his actions are rather than what he says. Don't think too much about it. It's not the end of the world...
