KrazyKasey Posted November 25, 2007 Posted November 25, 2007 Ive been dating this guy for a while now and weve gotten a lil serious...We have already broke up once but i took him back not to long ago. So last night we got in a convosation that i wanted to meet his mother, he was like you dont wanna meet her.. He told me that his mother is raciest. I am mixed african american, white, german, english. And i live with my mom in which they are all white but me. I really in love with this guy, hes amazing but im afraid that hes breaking up with me because of this whole situation and im not just gonna let him go over this situation..I think its a stupid reason to break up.... I wanna try to make the relationship work...Im at the point that i dont know what to do and i just need some advice and or help!

Your relationship is going to get real sticky if his parents can't accept you. You need to decide if you like him well enough to deal with them on this issue over and over.

I would just not bother at all with them but that's just me. I think you should talk to your boyfriend more about this matter... you might just be the one that could change her mother's thinking!

Author KrazyKasey Posted November 25, 2007 Author Posted November 25, 2007 He hates the fact that they are that way and he feels ashamed...He feels that i should find another guy whos parents will accept me and I told him its not all about that....He knows i love him, I think hes so scared he dosent know what to do...Part of this is why he broke up with me the first time because he didnt know how to say it to me. I took him back because we want the relationship to work. Its like i dont want anyone but him right now you know. We had such a good night entill that convosation. Ouch! When parents are against the relationship, it's pretty much doomed especially if one respects the parents a whole damn lot and wouldn't go against them. The deeper you both get involved the harder it will be to let go. You will have to think this through thoroughly. It is worth going through the heartache later on... I'm sorry you're in this situation.

Author KrazyKasey Posted November 25, 2007 Author Posted November 25, 2007 I feel confident about our relationship...I just dont think its right to just break up over something stupid like this..He wants to make things work im sure...Ive been in this situation before with another guy i dated and his dad found out and his dad was going to kick him to the curb when him and i were 16 yrs old...Because he didnt want to go homeless....I think racism is a horrible thing...it sucks , my love life with men has been horrible and i havent really felt a connection with any guy that i have been with than my current guy...its just so hard.
