This morning I was talking to a friend of mine via IM.

She was looking at the photos on my profile, and saw one of me from this past weekend.

She said "Wow! How much weight have you lost? You look so svelte!"

That's an SAT word! :)

You have NO idea how good it felt when I read that comment.

Since my breakup, even though I really haven't worked "too hard", I've worked out as much as my broken heart could handle, which, I suppose, was more than I thought it could.....

I looked at an older picture of myself, then this one. And it took a moment, but I saw a difference. A REAL one.

My friends, my family, and my supportive co-workers have really inspired me to lose weight, which is one way for me to re-take my life.

The best part is, this friend of mine who made the comment, is probably the MOST physically desireable woman I personally know.

Hot. Hot. Hot. :) :) She has what I consider to be an "almost" perfect shape. She works out EVERY day, and really takes care of herself, and always "picks" on me, from time to time about my weight, but in a cute motivational way.

This was the first "true compliment" she's ever actually given me.

I swear, I wanted to cry.

And then jump on her and just...ummmm......holy crap what I'd do.....

Anyhow...

It felt so good, ESPECIALLY coming from someone who could pretty much have any guy she wants. (Not that she's ever picked me! lol)

I guess this is part of what I call "Refocusing Myself". Taking that energy I wasted on someone who didn't really love me, and using it on ME.

It really works.

Damn, I could go for some ice cream about now......

This is the secret weapon to getting over someone and moving on.. Simple really..

Keep it up

wowwwww you do look like your losing weight!! commend me now!!

haha just kidding

thats good, see just a little compliment such as that can lift a person's spritits up immensely

It really is the " secret weapon " to getting over someone..as pain as it is and as much revenge you feel like " giving " at the moment. It's always best to calm down and smile and go on.

Well, I've never jumped on her, and she lives near me...

What chance would WE have? LOL LOL

But thank you, sweetie. :) :)

Yup, nothing like a good break-up to help you lose weight. I packed on about 50 pounds with my ex. We've been broken up for a little over 2 months and I've already lost over 20 pounds. I can almost fit in the same size pants as when she and I first met. Definately makes you feel good.

Good job man, keep it up.

Funny, I have a few ex-girlfriends that can say the same thing. :)

Of course, I spent much of this year with a Catholic, so I spent many Sundays begging for forgiveness inside that tight little booth. ;)

.....and then she gave me a cookie, and I was forgiven, well, until the next disaster..... lol :)

OMG..

What were you doing up at 4:51am? lol

Umm...don't answer that. ;)

Even I got a full night sleep last night, for once! :)

I woke up next to 2 of my cats, who were already kissing and licking my face when the alarm went off.

This may be the closest I've had to a threesome since college. lol

Actually, I had been asleep. I got home last night around 2 from going out to see a band, and i fell asleep around 230/3am but then I woke up, realizing that I'd fell asleep while waiting for D to let me know he got home from the city OK. lol. So i messaged him then i got up and went to the bathroom and somehow got on this thing.

Oh and by little jew in that one post i wasn't referring to the size of the you know what....lol. He just doesn't happen to be tall. ;-)

You have a computer in your bathroom? Damn, that's so cool.

It's actually funny you say that. In conversations I've had with women of varying backgrounds, some are convinced that Jews are "slighted" in "that department", and some that are convinced we are truly "the chosen people".

It's letting them find out for themselves that makes being Jewish so wonderful. :)

Mine was wonderful last night, and this morning he left me home alone in his house because he had an appt. I waited for him and he took me to lunch. We'll meet again tonight. :)

When I'm getting "cozy" with a girl, and she's not convinced that I'd make a good lover, I just relate the story of Chanukah.....

.....(the oil) was only expected to last 1 night......but it lasted 8.....

Today, on a whim, I "picked up" a lunch shift at one of the restaurants I work at (apparently, I'm the official "on-call" waiter and bartender for the entire state of NJ)...

I hadn't been there in over a month, and I got no less than THREE separate compliments that I was looking "thinner" and that they could tell I had been working out. My upper arms really fill out that shirt now. ;)

Just made me feel amazing, and a teency little piece of me kinda wished B strolled in the place (she USED to be a regular there, until we broke up).....

See all the sexiness that she missed out on. ;)

Two of my co-workers there happen to be very avid bodybuilders, so they gave me a more specific workout plan to go by. I'm VERY excited about it.

IT STARTS TOMORROW AT 6AM!

I know this is an old post and all...

But I've been pretty down the last week or so, and tonight I got an email that totally brightened my week. :)

This girl who has been flirting with me on Myspace told me my new picture is HOT. (It's the same picture as my avatar here)

Me. HOT.

Wow.

That's like better than "Oh, you look better" or "You look good"

I'm a sex god now.

Seriously, though...

Sometimes the right words can totally brighten your whole day.
