Sometimes, you just gotta laugh.

So I'm minding my own business at work not too long when the ex's new boyfriend stops by my desk. Granted, me and the ex had a long talk this week and I made it clear I wasn't trying to step on anyone's toes. There were some things that I needed to say and I said it. After her and I talked we both agreed this was a conversation we should keep to ourselves. Well apparently I'm the only one who held up that part of the bargain.

Well, the new "Mr Wonderful" is now at my desk and quite angry I might add. I stand up to talk eye to eye and he puts his hand on my chest and tells me "sit down". I'm like "uhh, no first things first: you need to get your hand off me right now." I say "Let's go talk somewhere private and he says "No, I'll do it right here." Consider we work in a very large cubicle area and he was making a complete a$$ of himself, I thought it best to force some common sense into him.

Almost laughing, I look him square in the eye and tell him "Let's go talk somewhere private like men because I have a few things to say to you too…" So I finally convince him, maturely I might add, that we go to a private office and chat. So he finally agrees and needless to say we both set things straight. But I was nearly laughing at the immaturity of it all. This is crap that happens at high school or college, not at work.

And if I was not at work I would have broken his arm right there. One thing you don't do is put your hands on me. I made that quite clear to him that it pissed me off. I don't back down from anyone :)

Anyway, this has taught me another invaluable lesson about love and work. Keep them separate. I still have to see them both but I don't really have to interact with them so I am not really worried about that part. And I'm not sorry I got a few things off my chest and I feel a lot better. That chapter of my life is over and really, I am not upset or sad about it. That's one of those things where it wasn't meant to be.

Just thought I'd share a laugh with you. Believe it or not, I'm smiling as I write this. What a day :)

Yeah, I can feel your laughter from here.

Laughing about it is the only thing that you can do. Did he come up to your desk like a Barney badas$ with his shoulders all up in the air?:rolleyes:

I know I'm laughing. This is about the funniest thing I've heard of in ages.

Whats even funnier is I bet that he told all his buddies that he went and took care of business and told CG whats up.

Personally, I think a little chest butting would've done you both some good :D

What a wanker.

I don't think that's a very nice thing to say about CG, Johan.

can i put my hands on you? jk he he

The pushing at work I would say assault. It would have been more fun to see him make a scene.

Oh well... quite interesting to see that guy doing what he is doing.

Go ahead. If you want it broken while he laughs at you.

Are you serious? Did you not see this?

Look but don't touch.

Is it really worth the risk? How many arms do you have anyway? If you mess around with fire... well, I don't remember the rest, but just be careful.

Oh and CG, just curious about this:

Granted, me and the ex had a long talk this week

How long has it been since you two broke up anyway? You're still having "long talks?"

Weren't you the one around here who "wrote the book" on NC?

What does NC mean? No physical contact? ('Cause I know you don't like being touched.)

So you can still talk to each other but you can't touch each other? Is that what NC means?

I'm so confused about this stuff. Can you explain please?

Oh I gathered as much, Sunny. But it's only an excuse for him to talk to her again. Let's be real here.

I may have been born at night. But I wasn't born last night.

So now I know that NC means only no physical contact. You can get together and you can talk on the phone and you can flirt on line, etc.

As long as you don't actually touch each other though you've stuck by No Contact and you're ok.

I get it now.

I never realized how literally some people take things.

Interesting.

I am laughing out like like a freak hahhahhaha:lmao:

Oh CG that is just so lame on his behalf! What a wankpot!

She has got herself a real catch lol ..... he sounds very mature ;)

Sometimes you have to break NC to get some answers. Once you've received the answers, you can move on a lot faster.

I'm a little disappointed with certain members who criticize others for being critical, then feel it's acceptable to do the same. Hmmm...

Glad to hear that the situation was nullified without any physical violence.

Hey, quit laughing Lishy.

It's not my fault that my mom dropped me when I was a baby. I'm a little dense and it takes me a long time to figure things out sometimes.

I used to think that NC meant you don't even TALK to the other person! Especially one who has dumped you. Because otherwise you look like a little desperate wuss.

Can you believe that? That's really what I thought! I had no idea! :rolleyes:I'm really slow though.
