Women say one thing but respond to another?

That's right everyone. For those of you (mostly women) who claimed I had no chance with the Target girl that I was arrogant to last month, for one, has given me a shot. Here's how it goes.

I popped into Target last night. I saw the cute girl there. She pushed this shopping cart around the candy aisle, putting misplaced items inside, so I hung out by the food court and just watched her. She didn't see me.

About a half hour to forty five minutes later, she gets called over by her supervisor to open up one of the registers as the store picked up the pace and that's when I got up and zeroed in.

I grabbed some water and a few other useless items just to get onto her line. As soon as she saw me, she had this big smile while ringing up all the other people, keeping her eyes down the whole time, blushing.

When it was my turn, I joked and told her to give me a really big bag for these little items and I might as well pack you in there too for a little trip.

She had a good laugh from this and I smirked. One of her coworkers also joined in on the laugh and gave her a wink and then a head nudge in my direction. The girl turned red all of a sudden (tan skinned latina) and just threw a little quip back at me.

Two other people in line got annoyed and crossed over to another line as we continued to talk for a minute. I took out a piece of paper to write my number down, but she already guessed what I was doing and stopped me, saying that I could take her email for now and we can talk more later, so I got it and walked out before her supervisor came.

I got chatting with her on Yahoo Messenger earlier today before she went into work. She's funny and full of life. So far, so good, but no plans as of yet, but I'll get there when we talk again. I like her but I need to play this cool and collectively as to not get ahead of myself yet.

Remember, this was the same girl that I was rude to that time about doing her job and finding what I was looking for. I, in turn, spoked to her after it and behaved myself a little bit and finally spoke to her again just last night and she's giving me a shot!

Thanks to Sabali for directing me on this as he was 100% right about what women respond to as opposed to what they say. This here is huge case in example of what I'm talking about. And with this, my freaking confidence is back to normal and I can take off from here.

Who else agrees about this issue? Women will tell you they won't give the jerk a shot (like I was initially to the girl) and then after the jerk returns to her with an improved approach, she's happily charged up now!

Shaun- That girl is a keeper if she can give you a second chance! Take it in a good way and remember, some day when she needs a second chance, humbly recall how she gave such to you. People forget that sometimes when they are in relations.

Thank goodness people can be "open" to change when the person changes the approach.

Not sure what you mean by give her a second chance? She seems nice enough right now to engage in, unless she goes stupid on me later.

What I Meant was, if and when she makes a faux pas in your book, just recall that you may have done the same when first greetings transpired. Basically show her the same regard in second chances as she gave you. Hope this makes sense and best of luck in getting that first date
