SJC2008 Posted May 27, 2013 Posted May 27, 2013 I was helping a customer today who seemed sweet and I was attracted to her too. When I was ringing her out she asked me what my name was and after I told her she said "It was really nice to meet you". That was sure fire interest in my book! The problem is that there were a couple of other people at the counter and there's no way I could "hollar" at a woman in front of other people while sober lol. She also had a ring on her ring finger. I was pretty sure it wasn't a wedding band by the way that it looked but the fact that it was on her ring finger was too much of a "deterrent" for me! Have yall known or met a woman who wasn't married/engaged and wore a ring on her ring finger?
ExpatInItaly Posted May 27, 2013 Posted May 27, 2013 Yes, I sometimes do. I have a ring that only fits my left ring finger, not my right, for some strange reason. I've also worn a ring on my wedding finger while traveling abroad alone. 1
RedRobin Posted May 27, 2013 Posted May 27, 2013 Yes. I'm not interested in being approached by random suitors. I've taken to wearing a ring that could pass as an unconventional wedding ring...
jolie_baby Posted May 27, 2013 Posted May 27, 2013 I do too sometimes... I dont actually give it much thought; whether its the wedding finger or otherwise...
sillyanswer Posted May 27, 2013 Posted May 27, 2013 Have yall known or met a woman who wasn't married/engaged and wore a ring on her ring finger? Yes. I know one woman who was just clueless in this regard.
apple OR orange Posted May 27, 2013 Posted May 27, 2013 i have no idea which finger is which, always amazes me how women say "ooo hes married", i mean, you clairvoyant?, apparently she saw his ring finger!

No, it's called being polite. If someone who's been waiting on me isn't wearing a name tag, I ask them their name to thank them. What's exactly what she did.
BluEyeL Posted May 28, 2013 Posted May 28, 2013 In my home country in Europe, single ladies wear rings on their ring fingers. I always did. Now I don't bc. I'm in the US and I don't want to signal that I'm engaged or something, different customs.
Truthsayer Posted May 28, 2013 Posted May 28, 2013 This is horrible. Never met a man who pretended to be married with a ring to keep women from talking to him.
ChrisPA5126 Posted May 28, 2013 Posted May 28, 2013 Definitely! Sometimes I have rings that only fit that finger, not my right, which is strange...!
CherryT Posted May 28, 2013 Posted May 28, 2013 I do! I'm not engaged yet... but I'm definitely not single. So I guess it doesn't really matter for me.
