Hey all,

I am self-employed (so is everyone else in the office) and I work from home most of the time but do have an office where I go in about 2-3x per month. and I met this woman yesterday at my office who is new (well been there for 2 months but I've never seen her) and we had some really good chemistry. She asked me for my card and I didn't have any on me, then she just gave me her email address without me even asking (we were sitting at computers) and I sent her an email saying it was nice to meet her and she replied so we have each other's contact info. There was some good chemistry and I would love to take her out.. so should I go back into the office to try to talk to her again or just call her / shoot her an email?

I'd rather go see her face to face and just invite her to lunch casually or something, but it might look odd if I show up 2 days in a row when I usually only come in every other week or so..

And in terms of some super practical people advising against the whole office romance thing -- honestly I don't really care, I'm almost never there, they can't fire me, they won't ask me to leave just because I asked her out on a date I can be smooth about it too..

Just go back. You said you don't care about what other's think about the office romance. So who cares what they think about you suddenly going in a few days in a row? She won't think it's odd because she's new and doesn't know your visitation patterns yet. If a relationship develops, she'll find it endearing that you did that. If one doesn't, you won't have to see her everyday and will soon be forgotten. You're in a perfect situation to just go in and see her...
