LifesBeachy Posted March 13, 2012 Posted March 13, 2012 Recently starting talking with a gentleman (Zach) and he looks like a guy (Kevin) I dated a few summers ago..Strange. Personalities are pseudo-similar..Even weirder. They were both really nice/respectful off-top. Though only Zach is speaking more of commitment. I had a huge blowing out with Kevin (He was faking being a nice person) & I ended up heartbroken...eventually moved on. But sometimes I look back at how I got obliterated. Has anyone had this happen? It's a very weird feeling..old associations. I definitely know it isnt fair to project someone else's [unsavory] character on to them. But then again, in the future if Zach & I work out, I don't want to feel like I'm re-kindling with Kevin.

Or, perhaps, you may be looking for the same things in men, and are seeing or prompting those things to appear in them. It may be worth trying to take an objective step back, to try and see it as though you are one of your friends and size them up that way. What is it you know for definite about this man and what do you know for definite about yourself?
FitChick Posted March 13, 2012 Posted March 13, 2012 I am only attracted to a similar type of guy so I don't find it unusual. If the guys are perfectly nice then don't tar them with the same brush. However, if you keep picking men who treat you badly, then that is your fault.
