Honestly, who cares? Many women would reject the guy for admitting to being an older virgin in the first place. Also, the more invested in a guy a woman is, the less likely she is to reject him for something like this. Playing the averages, the OP is exactly right.

 

One thing I've noticed from these forums is that guys tend to over-share. Guys should just stop giving up incriminating information early in relationships, if at all..

Yeah that one made me cringe too, and I'm a woman. I see nothing wrong with it and I see nothing wrong with keeping that info to yourself. It's your business. Just don't badger her for details of her life either. ;)

If she does, just turn it around and ask how many men she's been with and watch her get defensive.

Thats what I'm worried about. I'm no virgin but am VERY inexperienced for a man my age. Our soceity is so quick to judge people. This world sucks for shy people. Relationship EXPERIENCE is overrated IMO. People are who they are and usually don't change. Whether you are a good person and will work together in a R, or if you are a manipulaive control freak, you'll be that person whether you had 10 gf's/bf's or only 1. Look at the divorce rate, I guess the EXPERIENCE really matters LMAO.

Guys definitely over-share. The ones with past experience - in my experience - either go on about their exes and regale you with every story about their lives with them (including sexually) or the ones without experience feel the need to tell you pronto that they're completely inexperienced virgins. None of this stuff should come up, especially so early on in a relationship. On the surface, being a virgin says nothing about you - except for being a virgin. Could you be a nutso and that's why you've never dated? Sure. But it's equally as good life circumstances such as location, schooling, and a shy personality could affect it.

 

I would date a virgin. I would also date a non-virgin. I've dated both lots and it didn't affect anything if they were good men.

I agree, just shut your mouth and go caveman. I embarrased myself royally that way once, because I felt it was somehow necessary to say. Needless to say, it was not.

All the more reason not to. If you do things well physically and she can't tell you're inexperienced, what's the point of saying? You risk losing your sexual momentum.

Eureka, I have figured it out!!!!! The divorce rate is so high because people got more experience, realized they are now more in demand, and decided they needed to move up in the world! :lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao:

 

Seriously, even if you are nervous there is no real difference between a virgin and a guy with 1-2 previous partners. Even with more experience, the first time with someone knew is usually awkward if you are not drunk.

Since there is less cultural and financial pressure in westernized nations forcing people to pair up and get married, people have created all sorts of nutty criteria needed to get into a relationship. The truth is that 50 years ago this would have not been an issue anywhere as people rarely dated until 30 years of age and this whole sleeping around thing is a recent phenomenon. Most people's grand parents were married by 23 and thus fewer options and sleeping around.

LOL, great commercial.

 

One thing that guys with a lack of experience need to do is practice taking risks. It's really easy to spend time with a girl you like and pretend that she's a guy. I've done that for several years and it really doesn't get you anywhere.
