There's all kinds of friends, from two friends who know everything the other does and what they are thinking to more or less acquaintances who share a beer or a game or a hobby but don't get very personal. And everything in between. There's work friends that may be only temporary. Neighbor friends, friends you make if you're a mother because you rely on each other that you might not otherwise have any interest in. Horse-riding friends, running buddies, friends that get together because they have a common foe. It's a wide assortment.
