OK,

So I am pretty normal except that lately I have this thing where I get horrible anxiety in certain situations? I cannot even look someone in the eye or turn my head or even look up or I have tremors. I tap my feet or move my hands to counter act it but it still happens. I feel spastic to say the least. The main problem is that my head has these spastic tremors from my neck up almost like if I where cold? I only get it when I am sitting down or not moving. It has gotten worse lately and it is really interfering w/ my life. I am kinda scared that it could be something more than anxiety. The only thing I can think of is it being withdrawl from alcohol. I party too much on the weekends and not at all during the week. I don't get it when I drink either, but it is bad when I am hungover and still there two and three days later? I know I should stop drinking and I am working on that, but I feel as if it isn't that? I mean sometimes I am totally fine in total intimidating situations where I would really have anxiety. Honestly, I am really not a very self conscious person. I really never get it around my friends and family? I have had bad anxiety in the past and been on zoloft but it never really has been this bad physically. I mean I can deal with getting a little shy or red in the face but this is socially crippiling right now? Even when I don't feel mental anxiety the physical actions happen? Can anyone shed some light on this please!!!!!!!!

p.s. I know I should see a doctor and I will when my insurance kicks in b/c I just started a new job......

this sounds pretty serious, i would see a doctor. go to a free clinic if you have to, but get some help. i hate to be so brief and to the point, but this doens't sound like something you should mess with. one thing i can say though, for sure, is stop the drinking altogether, at least until you get some medical advice.

Anxiety can cause so many physical reactions in your body, making you feel even worse and can mimick many health problems that make you feel like something is really wrong.

For now, get some rescue remedy aka bach flower. It's herbal and there are no side effects.

Do some deep breathing and yoga, this will help you relax and control the feelings of anxiety.

When you start feeling anxious, recognize the feelings, but don't let them scare you. Noone dies or goes crazy from having panic attack. Even though at times it feels like you will.

Start journaling your feelings. Daily! In your journal write down what you ate that day, how much you slept the night before, what you drank too. This way within a month or two you will see a pattern, when is your worst times for anxiety? Is it period related? Alcohol related? Stress related?

Google anxiety and do reading up on it. Understand it, learn all you can so you can take control and not let "it" take control over you.

Reach out and talk about it. If you are having an attack, call a friend. distraction is the best way to get over an attack, so if you can't find someone to talk to, post about what you are feeling ,or write down your feelings. Or, put on music, do some dishes.

Coffee and chocolate also can affect you, so be aware of how much coffee you drink.

Once you find the 'root' of your anxiety, you can face it, deal with it and hopefully not let it take over.

CBT!!

These are definitely symptoms possibly related to alcohol addiction. People who drink a lot also don't usually disclose it, but rather mitigate the truth (denial). All things considered, I recommend you see a doctor and be completely forthcoming. There are prescriptions that will help and prevent you from using the bottle as a crutch.
