I will probably need encouragement with this one.

I have currently gone off drinking, which is for the better. But before, I used to be an alcoholic. A bad one at that. Every time I drank it never ended well. I would come home bathed in my own puke, unable to stand, sometimes unconscious. And each time I drank, I couldn't control the urge to text/call this one ex that I am still in love with. We're not on good terms because I hurt her too much out of spite. And each time I tell myself not to bug her, I always give in to it. I know she can't stand me and I don't want to irritate her anymore so I went off drinking. But I think it will probably take me a long time to get over her, knowing she may not give me anymore chances, even despite me apologizing. Is there any way to make the process of moving on easier?

If her number is in your phone, delete it. Keep off the drinking. Dont contact her and just focus on your self.
