I'm pretty adept at the whole breadcrumb thing, but this one has got me perplexed.

I've been NC with the ex since Thanksgiving day (please note, that I have absolutely zero interest in getting back with ex). On that day I received notification from a travel company that my itinerary had been updated. I had plans to travel with the ex and her little boy in two weeks, but canceled my tickets because of her dumping me. Since I had purchased the tickets and could not refund all three, I told the ex to just keep the damn things for her and her boy. They notification I received reflected my removal of the itinerary. I sent her a text on Thanksgiving let her know that I forwarded the email to her, and she replied with a thank you, and hope you're having a good thanksgiving as well. I told her I was good and asked if she was having a good one. She never responded.

Today, I'm sitting at home reading email and I received one from her stating thank you again, and she will give my best to her little boy for me (he is in a competition) and she hopes I had a good holiday weekend.

What I'm questioning is why did she have to thank me again? I was very short in my reply with a "You're welcome, thanks, and you as well" and have heard nothing.

Know, that I'm not feeling anything other than curious about it and maybe somewhat confused. I don't have any thoughts of wanting her back right now, but it's toying with me. I'd guess that might be the reason in and of the email itself. LOL!

Breadcrumb. She's just being nice.

You could have canceled the entire trip but, probably in her eyes, you're doing something nice for her kid. She might have disappointed you, but you didn't disappoint her kid. So, she knowledge your kindness.

Give you props on that!

But, also be aware that the guilt might eat at her later. That she treated you badly but you still came through for her at the end. She may want to contact you again. But, only to see if you hate her. So, expect another breadcrumb in the future.

Eh? The right now tells me you are still attached to her.

Anyway.. bread crumbs. She's going on a trip you paid for. She's just being polite.

Ignore, do not reply.
