TrblinMN Posted August 11, 2013 Posted August 11, 2013 It has been five months now and I still can't move on. What is the toughest part is that I keep thinking about we broke up. This was our second attempt at a relationship. Half way through she wanted to slow things down and want some space. I didn't think we moving fast and we only saw each other 3 times a week. Then one night we started talking and she eluded to something was off....which lead to her say that she has to listen to her heart. I said do you want to breakup or be together. She couldn't answer the question. I told her I wanted to be together and work at it. All she could say was "I don't know" and "I have to listen to my heart". Eventually I told her that I can't make her love me and this confusion on her part is tearing me up inside. I had to break up with her. I had a friend tell me once that women do this (distance themselves and what not) because they want the guy to breakup with them. How come she just couldn't breakup with me and just frustrate me with not really saying anything?

I think it's a thing also, where they want their freedom but they also want a security blanket of some sort...
Author TrblinMN Posted August 11, 2013 Author Posted August 11, 2013 I keep analyzing that night over and over I have to keep telling myself that she just didn't want to be with me and didn't have the guts to end it herself. I been told that she is just immature and lacks the skills to deal with difficult situations. GlassesSeventy, I think yours is more of a safety blank more than my situation.
Pistol pete Posted August 14, 2013 Posted August 14, 2013 Well, if she actually didn't want to break up with you.. she didn't exactly put up much of a fight did she?
