Found out she has a boyfriend...

Recommended Posts

I am now 35 years old, I've always been reserved to relationships until 4 years ago when I met a great woman who liked being my friend, but when I approached her with romantical intent she rejected me and never talked to me again.

Ever since I've been trying with other females and I've been heartbroken 5 times because I get attached so quickly. I was much happier before I started to venture into the love/dating realm! Now I feel numb and I often am with a saddened stare.

The feeling of wanting to feel loved is like a drug, it hurts my soul yet I keep yearning it. I feel a huge big gap in my heart without it.

The last girl I fell for was a nurse, I had 4 appointments with her for an injury of mine and I could tell with each appointment she liked me more and then I started to develop strong feelings for her. She shared details of her life to me and was also interested in me. So I checked her up on Facebook and found out she already has a boyfriend. So without being officially rejected I once again feel utter miserable and boozed myself the whole night.

I feel like I have aged to 65.

You do realize that developing feelings too fast that's causing the misery, right? We all want to be loved but you have to learn remain a bit neutral at first because you will likely experience many short-lived opportunities before you find one that blossoms. I suggest that you try not to fantasize about who a person might be or what a potential relationship might be. Go into it with optimism but save the feelings for when you have reason to believe the person is reciprocating your interest. I know it's easier said than done, but keeping it real should help.
