Teknoe Posted November 20, 2014 Share Posted November 20, 2014 Going to ask out a coworker tomorrow. Last year I asked out a coworker knowing she was leaving the company for good in 4 months. I used the word "date" and scared her off. With this new coworker, I plan to ask her casually, and it will be more of a hang out than a date. I am not afraid of friend zoning myself, because I feel our work chemistry is strong. It seems plausible that she likes me or would be open to dating me. So I'll ask nonchalantly, hope she accepts and go from there. At any rate one thing I realized is it's so hard finding someone that you click with. When you do, it's something worth pursuing. I'd say 60/40 gut feeling/let's see what happens. BTW, I ended up not asking her out. It just turned out that it was such a busy day and there was never the "right moment."
