Doe Anyone find OLD addictive. I tend to spend too much time on there sending messages and looking forward to responses. The hope that one will turn into something more.

Don't get me wrong I work a lot but my mates aren't around a lot so I spend too much time on there lol.

Anyone else addicted at looking at their inbox?

I never view women as a commodity, but you are right. I do view the process similar to working Ebay. In a sense the dynamic quality is much faster than real life. In your friend/work groups a person comes and goes every so; in OLD it is far more rapid, that is part of the draw.

Anyhow I'd say don't let it be an addiction, and it is not really an evil to be conquered like alcohol or dope. OLD is just a little captivating, like Facebook is for some, ahh, no use for FB in my life.

Not so much addictive as entertaining.

Some of the stuff people write is just priceless.

From the butthurt and angry, the blatant liars, attention whores and sometimes just plain funny.

Every once in a while you stumble across a gem but for the most part it's all the same old regurgitated OLD cliches.

weird thing going on atm. You'll be chatting with a girl for some time and as soon as you bring up phone numbers they either ignore it or disappear for a bit but then will chat to you again. Usually no interest is obvious but continually chatting makes me think there still interested. Ignoring the phone numbers thing seems a bit weird?

Feeling addicted to OLD is the same as wanting to be on facebook to check notifications. Dopamine certainly makes you feel good. If you care about getting a response from a girl, you are already over valuing her. If you are chatting with a girl who won't give out her number, you have to move on. DO NOT keep chatting. Maybe you said something creepy, maybe she isn't attracted, and or maybe she never gives her number out. Whatever the reason, do not continue to validate women who won't take steps to meet up no matter how nice they seem.

It's very addicting. I soon realized after coming back from months of break time that OLD is just quite simply not for average guys. It's for the top best. I've had much better luck in real life than I have had online so as addicting as it is I recommend you try real life as well. If something doesn't work why keep

trying at it? Bottom line is that the competition online is beyond extreme and that you will probably end up underestimating your true self worth if you stick around for too long.

I'm only addicted to it in the scene that my desire for a companion is a little... overpoweong at times. And the sites cater to my severe case of ADD.

other than that, its basically the same experience as bellyflopping onto concrete.

I regret signing up with Match. I find it tedious. The cluttered visual layout gives me a headache. When I try to delete someone I may accidentally click and open their profile instead, which then spurs them on to contacting me, the last thing I want. It makes me not want to even read the profiles, most of which are so damned boring. And what the hell is the difference between winks, favorites, likes, and connections? Just have one kind of initial interest link and email. Period.
