What would a guy most likely do?

If a guy had feelings for someone but they lived really far away from them would they still say something even though they won't see them for a year or so? Or would the keep it to themselves until that person lived closer?

Obviously a lot depends on his character and how into you he is actually is.

 

Even with the best intentions, "life" can happen. It's not unreasonable to think he'd happily wait, but don't be completely surprised if he finds someone else in that time.

I think it would depends on how much face-to-face being together the two people had. I mean, no one with any sense is going to start committing to someone they haven't met more than a couple of times.
