Theres this girl in my class...

Well I just started school about 2 weeks ago. The first few days and stuff were fun. In one of my classes there was this girl that i REALLY wanted to go out with. I kind of think she liked me at first because she tried to talk to me. However I am very bad at talking to girls, so the conversation turned silent after we told each other our names. Now its been almost 2 weeks and she hasnt said anything to me since the first day. Im pretty sure she liked me at first, but since Ive been silent for 2 weeks then I dont think shes really interested in me anymore.

I sit right beside her in class, the class is an hour and a half long, and about half of that the teacher lets the students just talk and stuff. I never can get the guts to talk to her because shes always talking to other friends when the teacher lets us talk. She has 2 other friends in the class, and they all site right beside me. I sit in the front left, the girl i like sits behind me to the right, then her 2 friends sit right behind me and right beside me. So i'm stuck up there in the front seat with my back turned to them just listening to them talk all class. I really want to get in the conversation but im afraid i'll mess things up. What should I do?
