Another Seperation

Hi all,

Guess what...the fella who works across from me just told me he is leaving his wife... He is one of the few people at work who knows what I am going through.

I was floored... he told me he has not been happy for over a year with his wife and ...etc etc.. He has 2 kids with her.

I was very conflicted.. I mentioned some books and the WWW.. but he was not interested in a friendly sort of way.. made up his mind.

I did not push what I know on him...but holy C$ap! This job just kills marriages. I also think he has someone on the side.. but its not my business. Only a guess.

Only reason I am posting this is... I can't believe how common this is! He only told me because I trusted him to keep my business to himself.. and he trusts me to return the faviour.. Places like this .. dirty laundry gets flung all over the place.

It sucks...

Now I know why he kept telling me there is other fish in the sea.

I never told him that... why would I want a fish... when I had a mermaid

Oh well...another statistic added to the pile

Not A Surprise To Me At All

Military, law enforcement, firefighters, paramedics, all have high divorce rates.

At some duty station and in some combat armsn units ~ the divorce rate is as high as 70% in the Marine Corps.

The Marine Corps use to have regulations in place ~ and in some places such as Japan ~ they're still in place. To get married, you had to go to see the Chaplain, and have the signed permission of your Commanding Officer.

A couple of years ago, the Marine Corps was on the verge of issuing an order that you couldn't enlist if you were married ~ and once you did, then you couldn't get married until you were at least a Corporal and had your Commanding Officers permission. The Femi-Nazi's howled and screemed bloody damm murder.

Oh! Girl, I know what you're talking about, trust me! I know! Believe me I know!

Its the paramedics, the doctors, the nurse, the firemen, the policemen, the state troopers, patrolmen, the social workers, who go in and clean the mess up pepole make of their lives.

It takes a lot be you of the above, to man up and man that wall! And you don;t have to be a man ~ to "man-up"

Its about being strong, and being and doing right! Its about doing the right thing! We all know what is "right" its written upon our hearts the day we're born! Just do the right thing! You know what it is! Just do right!

You? In my book? Well why should I tell you what you already know! You're a "righteous Lady"

According to all the divorce lawyers I called, dentists too! They also have a high suicide rate. A divorce is better than suicide, but I dont like being just another statistic.
