Ross, every women uses different ways to either drop hints to the guy that she likes him or to let him know. Some use the so called useless "Waiting strategy" where they shyly smile or play with their hair and then they wait for the guy to say "I like you".
Another methos is the "direct approach", which is when the girl straightly tells you "I like you".
Some don't like being so obvious because they think this will scare the guys away. While others know what they want and aren't afraid to just say it, even if it means rejection at times.
Now which method would be the best: A) Waiting, not to obvious strategy or B) Aggressive, "just tell him so" method
If you have to wonder if she likes you then either she doesn't or she is playing you. It is usually hard not to convey like to someone your interested in. It just comes out in the way they look and act around you.
If you're in doubt then you can always tell them you like them and see if the feeling is mutual.

So the fact that I have to wonder means that no women have ever been interested in me offline?

Agreed YAMAHA....If a particular woman really really likes you then you will know for sure. She'll go out of her way to let you know (but it may not be verbal).

I've always found women 25+ easier to talk to, and more aware of what they want. As far as telling whether or not they're interested? Short of them saying it outright or saying "yes" when you ask them out, give it up. Some will act shy, some will be more outgoing, some will simply make eye contact...
