Fair??

Is there such a thing as fair in a realationship "break up"?

I mean how can one define what fair is when emotions are involved?

My outlook is that "emotions" are very volitle swinging from one end of the scope to the other in a matter in seconds. So is it fair to realy talk to some one in the break up stage knowing that the conversation and or emotions are not going to take you to the place both of you want to be?

Is it possible that a break up may be saved if the emotions are throwen out the window in the time of negotionation?

Being fair in a realtionship to me does not and cannot exist if there are emotions still involve becase people all strive for personal gain and not gain together.....

Let me know what you guys think.....
