A girl/boyfriend: Just a good friend with permission to touch? Agree/disagree?

I pose again this age-old question and debate... in what ways do you agree or disagree with the statement that a boy/girlfriend (or husband/wife for that matter) is the same as having a very close friend only this is a friend you can have sex with? Discuss!

If that's the case, then no chick I ever date is going to have male friends.

I agree VERTEX....it is the sex and mutual attraction that makes romantic relationships different than platonic relationships. Why that is I really don't know.

THat's how it should be ideally looked at. I think sometimes unnecessary attributes are attributed to romantic relationships, over complicating them.
