Hells yes
From personal experience, absolutely you can maintain a relationship while in college. You must communicate thoroughly though, while apart. Via email, online, or txt. Set out expectations, such as when to call (especially around mid-terms and finals)... or how much to email. This is essential. When communication begins to falter, suspicions and insecurity arise. Don't interrorgate her on what she did, and don't let her do the same to you - good communication avoids this. Volunteer information to show her that she is an important part of your life and you want to share it with her, even though you are apart. She will return the information. You must give as much as you take - especially in a LDR. If you argue, make darn sure it's something serious and don't leave eachother hanging, even for a day. Fight about the little things later when face to face. I suggest taking pictures to share with eachother as well. If you are worried about phone bills, use the program (free internet) SKYPE (audio). Words don't do justice alone. INVOLVEMENT and COMMUNICATION.
You can do it,
