iv been with this guy for six weeks, and things where going great he was writing me poems and giving me these little roses every time we where together and where always holding hands ,hugging ,kissing and stuff, he told me he needs me, how lucky he is to have me that im beautifull but he also said hes afraid of getting hurt because he always got hurt in the past plus hes been great with my daughter he realy likes her, things where just great and we where realy close, but then one night he leaves and says he be back later that night so we can go out but he doesnt come back and the next night i wait for him at this club,we had planned aweek prior to this to go out and i would spend the night with him but once again he doesnt show doesnt call, so i try to call him for three more days but hes eather not home or no one answers so finally i go to his cousins house and see whats up he has no idea ecept that he gave him the neclace i gave him and said to give it back to me, so his cousin calls him and he says hes going through alot right now and that he doesnt want to drag me down with him or into his problems and the neclace was his way of saying its over. so i talk to cousan and friends and they tell me hes probably afraid of getting hurt and that i shouldnt give up cause he realy liked me and that i should go to his court the next day and be there for him and talk, so i do i tell him iwanna be there for any problems he has and that i just wanna be with him and we work things out then well hes not calling me but he is answering my calls says hes busy but hopes he can see me realy soon{has to find job to pay off fine] AND THAT HE MISSES ME AND REALY WISHES HE WAS WITH ME RIGHT NOW AND ME AND HIM ARE OK and that its ok to call him the next night, i do twice hes not home and twice the next day and they say hes not home, whats up do you think hes pushing me away again and what should i do, going crazy not hearing from him again im so afraid im gonna losse him

Sounds to me like this guy does not have his head on straight. Do you really want your daughter to see this kind of behavior? To think that it is ok to date someone so fickle? As one single mom to another, I don't think it is healthy to bring a man like this into your home.

I think the answer to your question is quite obvious. Why want to be with someone who doesn't spend any time w/you? Unless your his shrink or therapist, I don't see why you have to be the one to put up w/his insecurities and accept excuses for not wanting to be w/you. JMO
